I just read on espn insider- locals. That they will probably extend the CBA to 2013. I know this is good for the dolphins. But i think it is more important to the integrity of the NFL. it shows that when something so important needs to be done the NFL and players assosation could work it out. unlike baseball and hockey. i love football and the organization of the NFL.
 
This make things so much more conveinient for the Phins' offseason. Any exact day when they expect this to be done?
 
That's awesome, no implications on FA that means.

They still scared me half to death with an uncapped season, they need too get this kind of stuff done earlier.
 
could this also increase the chances of the chargers negotiating something with brees and keeping him? If the cap goes up then they would have more breathing room to offer him something solid
 
I heard it may push back FA for one week (until the 10th). That wouldn't be bad at all. It is imperative for the NFL and NFLPA to work this out. I think it would actually enhance our chances of getting someone like Brees, but I'm not convinced Saban wants him yet. I would like it if he can get healthy and stay that way for many years. Of course, that's the way it is with any player.
 
...And then ESPN News just reported as "Breaking News" that talks have broken down and Gene Upshaw left all P.O.'d and what have you.

Id like to say a few things

1- Im glad they got a deal worked out

2- Im proud of the owners and players for seeing all the negatives of not getting something done, and getting together and making sure that didnt happen
