Well, what a first day. I am not really sure whether it was a good or a bad day. We will not find out about this until the training camp, or maybe until the season starts / or ends. I was so excited about taking Brady Quinn, but we decided to go with Ted Ginn Jr. I still do not understand the decision. I hope our FO made the best decision. I like Beck, but I do not think he is a beter QB than Quinn. Yet, I am excited that our four players drafted so far, are offensive players. For me, that is the best news of the day. I truly hope this makes a difference and helps our teams reach the next level.
We drafted a WR / Specialist Returner, a QB, a RB, and a C / G. I think we will add more depth to our offense with two or three of the remaining picks we have. We might go with T, DE, P and they used our 4th, hopefully, to bring Trent Green in.
What do you think??

I think we brought in playmakers who will put points on the board. That is what we needed.

Most people wanted Quinn because of his name not his game.

I would rather have had Quinn...Ginn is good, but we hired Quinn's "personal" QB coach, Terry Shea, this off-season. Shea was working with Quinn all off-season, which made sense that we were going to take Quinn. I think Ginn will be quite the impact player for us, a definate ungrade from Welker, who I was really sorry to see go. Imagine if we had both of them. Oh well, can't have it all, I guess. But all the offense we're collecting so far is great. And as for dangling Booker as trade-bait, I'm not too big on that news, because Green is what 37-38?? And with Culpepper and Lemon...another reason I think quinn should've been wearing Aqua-n-Orange.

I could see them taking an offensive lineman or two with the remaining picks. Hopefully they don't give away anything for Green. If it has been decided that Pepper will not be around, we have to add someone like Trent. I just don't feel that he is worth a 4th to hold the reins for two years or less. We have too many needs to give up that pick.

We don't need to give up picks for a player like T.Green who's going to be cut post draft anyway. ANOTHER GOOD move by the FO.. How many picks have we wasted on veteran QBs that stunk? Don't matter who the QB is, if we can't keep him upright. I hope C Pep stays, gets healthy and plays, while we groom Beck. To me, we finally got it right.
