Just heard Jason Allen, CB Tennesee is done for the year with a hip injury. I am not sure if the injury occured early enough for him to be medically redshirted, but if he is in the draft next year he will be a steal in the third. I have him as on of the top cornerback prospects in the nation, a possible top 15 pick. Now with the injury he will not go that high. I am not sure how badly hip injuries affect players in the future but I would definately draft him.

Interesting. Certainly brings a top level talent back down to earth where we could take a chance on him.

whenever i hear about a hip injury, i think of bo jackson....but then again, priest holmes had a similar injury a few years ago and has been just as good since, so perhaps medically we've come a long away since bo's days

Good news: We need OL and this is a great year for Centers and OT!!

Good news: Great year for OLB and ILB, easy to pickup a top talent in the 2nd round for the 3-4.

Good news: Lots of LSU talent in this years draft for Saban to take a stab at if he so wishes.

Hip injuries are also different with Corners.. Cuz unlike priest and Bo they arent taking too many Gut shots from LB's... Very interesting if this guy falls alot from this...

That wouldnt surprise me if he continues to nab guys that he has coached.

So whats the bad news?

Whitworth (OT) and K Willams (NT) have impressed the 2 times I've seen LSU this year.

Eslinger, the Center from Minnesota, was mentioned above as a possibilty. I still prefer Marvin Phillip from Cal.
