Good news for UK fin fans

That's good news for those fans across the pond. Just a quick question to all the Brits (and overseas fans in general), what made you interested in the NFL and the Dolphins in particular?

Because soccer sucks!

:jk:

I understand soccer and I still believe it sucks and is boring. Alot like Baseball in a way a game that takes for ever to watch and isnt really worth my time. No offense to any soccer fans but just my honest opinion

i duno.. its different over here.

theres a lot more passion, a much better atmosphere, and a wordly difference in standard..

That great news between Sky and NASN we should have some decent coverage. Even better news that the Dolphins are on the first week. Hopefully a good start will get us on Sky a few more times.

I started to support the Dolphins as they were the first team I saw back in the days of playing at the Orange Bowl.

we will crush Denver, I forsee a shutout

In the mid 80's we got one of those big arse satellite dishes and we could get american tv and started to watch American Football as it was close to rugby (lots of tackling and hitting) which my dad and I both love to play, Miami was always the place we went to shop as it was close to both Jamaica where I was raised and the Cayman Islands where we emigrated to in the late 70s so that was the team I watched and it didn't hurt that the Dolphins had Marks Brothers and Dan the Man which made it so much fun to watch, though we had no freaking what was going on. My dad is now a Seahawks fan, my mum is a Tampa fan and my sister had a [SARCASM] brain aneurysm and supports the Patriots [/SARCASM]

Channel 4 started showing football way back about 84 and i used to just sit upstairs on my own and watch all these guys with helmets and pads try to beat the c**p out of each other. I had never seen the sport before but i somehow learnt the rules and got hooked. I had a friend who was interested in football as well so we started a team. Went to an adult team in Birmingham called the Bulls and they started a youth squad which i joined at 15 and i carried on playing for about 5yrs. I became a Dolphin fan i guess because i started to watch the game around the time Miami went to the superbowl against the 49ers. Marino became my fave player. Just love the team. Supported them for nearly 20yrs now.
Great news about Miami on sky!!!! :) Without Monday night football i thought we wouldnt get to see the Fins much this season.
:woot: :cool2: :friday:
