Good news!

If only our left tackle had the determination and grit that Jaelan has.
This guy is a true leader and should have all our respect.

Really bad take. Grier bought a HOF caliber o-lineman on the discount rack towards the end of his career, period. You take the good with the bad in those cases, caveat emptor and all that jazz. Armstead has been nothing but a leader since the day he got here, he gutted out the entire year last year when he should've had season ending surgery week 1 and he repeatedly busts his ass to get back ASAP every time he gets nicked. When he's not in the lineup he's constantly coaching up the other o-lineman, and people who actually attend practices and conduct interviews in the lockeroom have consistently remarked how everyone in the organization has the utmost respect for Terron and the examples he sets for his teammates. Have a go at his age if you will, his determination, leadership and "grit" should not be questioned.

How good a guy is Jaelan Phillips? Recovering from surgery he heads down to the Dolphins Cure for Cancer cycling event, just to encourage participating teammates like Christian Wilkins, Jevon Holland and others to support the charity. That tells me that in addition to being a top player, he is also just a great guy.

I checked the stats - 73% of NFL players return to play within a year after achilles tendon surgery (83% of MLS soccer players). However, it should be stressed that most show improvement in their playing performance the subsequent season after returning.
It's a good to see Jaelan walking well after just 3 months. Obviously working hard on his rehab. We need him.
Just the Facts, Jack.
