talking about this article on Sage
http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/football/pro/dolphins/sfl-hydespec02sep02,0,2766734.column?coll=sfla-dolphins-front

and here is what I am relating my title to, the post I had a while ago on Dave Hyde's pathetic writing.

I mean, come on, can you be any more rude, ignorant, or just a plain jerkoff to a guy? How someone can imply "oh, guess it's really bad if we have to go with Sage, possibly" when Gus and AJ have looked like 2 clowns out there for the entire preseason while Sage has performed well everytime! I don't want to hear the 3rd-4th string thing either. Sage still has to drop back and physically throw a spiral in an area a WR can catch it. Hell, Gus and AJ can't even accomplish that!

He just watched a horrid performance by his favorite team. He was probably a little drunk too.

i dont see whats wrong with that piece... hes just saying how its amazing that people are now calling for sage, that our starting 2 are that bad, that a good performance against people who aren't going to be in football by next week have people wanting him to be our starting QB... just talking about how bad gus and AJ have been... nothing here i dont see as true...

Uhm, he's clearly implying Sage is nothing more than a 3rd stringer who has hardly played, isn't that good, and now people may want him to start.

If he was doing what you said, it would be a lot more classy and POSTIVE to point out how Sage as IMPROVED every year he has come back to Miami. And perhaps due to the awful play of the other 2 clowns there is no other obvious choice than to consider him.

Implying? I call it giving facts.

I Don't see much bad w/ the article either. Sage was a distant third 5 weeks ago...he is now a very credible option to keep this ship afloat. I'd say that makes our situation pretty pathetic...don't you?

Whether you agree or not...is it necessary to speak about Sage in the sense that he is a piece of crap? Because whatever way you want to read it, the way he speaks in relation to Sage isn't very nice.

Whatever....keep the glasses on and continue to stick up for everything related to the Dolphins. A majority either completely overreact or are incessant homers. I've been a die hard fan for 20 years, but I'll call a spade a spade.

Fair enough.....I suspect he is as frustrated as the rest of us and it just showed in that article. Your point is valid.... ;)

whos sticking up for everything related to dolphins? because we dont see the article as you do? i dont see it as a sage diss i see it as hes calling sage a 3rd string QB which is what hes always been, hes not dissing sage, hes just saying that our other 2 guys ahead of him are playing so bad that a 3rd string QB has a good half against guys who will be in the arena league next year and now hes in the mix for a starting job? thats crazy... you wanna call a spade a spade, realize that if sage starts we are in serious trouble, how that can even be an option is crazy in itself...

I think Hyde is right on the money and you can add Greg Cote to the list of critics calling for Sage to be elevated, Frerotte to be demoted, and the ouster of Feeley:

Time for Sage.

Why the heck not? The Dolphins have nothing to lose, except a slew of football games, which looms as nearly unavoidable at this point, anyway.

The veteran journeyman quarterback Miami brought in, Gus Frerotte, has not proven he has earned more than the backup role to which he is accustomed and seems capably, safely suited.

The younger man Miami brought in last season to be the supposed answer, A.J. Feeley, continued hurtling Thursday night on a career fast track to his inevitable future title: former NFL quarterback.

How are we in any more trouble than we were???? Position spot numbers aside, on the field all 3 quarterbacks are even.

Do you do anything but constantly argue with people on here? I have never seen you agree with anyone's posting, you're always on the other side.

Keep the glasses on and continue to stick up for everything related to the Dolphins? Are you talking about yourself? You're the one complaining about Hyde's article because it implies Sage isn't very good (an obvious fact to anyone not blinded by their Dolphins loyalty).
