Despite the fact that the defense made me want to throw up, I decided that instead of coming on here and getting all caught up in the "woe is us" attitude that I probably want to get caught up in, I'd post about something that I was thinking about throughout that last game.
I've been fairly critical about our fans in the past when I look at our games and the stadium looks half empty and the crowd doesn't seem like it's getting into the game. I watch most other games, and you can hear the volume of the crowd, but a lot of times with our games it seems like the fans either aren't there or don't care.
Well... this game last night completely turned that around. I don't know what the energy was like in the stands (wish I did), but as I watched the game, I could feel the energy and the volume that was coming out of the stands. It's great to have a major game on Monday night where people nation wide can look and say "Hey, Miami has some great fans."
So good on the fans who attended that game. Here's hoping we can keep the excitement up for all of our home games this year and make Miami a difficult place to play.
