good read and info on Ryan and Ted Ginn

It's not just the fans that are unimpressed with him. Coaching staff and front office aren't too far behind.

At this point it's about value and what we can get for him. I sincerely believe the way they hyped him up this offseason was only part motivation. But if he continues to suck, there aren't going to be any takers next offseason. I'm thinking best case we get a 4th.

He said he'd be wearing kris jenkins jersey, haha

at least he admitted sort of that it was stupid to talk **** to channing.
I like seeing the fact that Ryan had henne higher than Joe.
I hope Henne Starts to connect on some of those longer passes.

I can see Cam now....
We didn't just trade for Ted Ginn, we traded for the whole Ginn family.

I'd take a 4th happily for him. Preferrably if it was out of the conference. I'd hate to trade him to someone like Baltimore and have him actually have a good game against us or something.

I bet he'd be dangerous on the Patriots, I'm tellin you he's got great talent, amazing speed, his hands were never a problem until this season, Henne can get him the ball deep, once we can get a #1 reciever the defense will turn its attention away from him and he'll be open to make more plays, patience guys, I know it's been 3 years and he hasnt produced, but the way this team was built in the year he was brought in was not the most logical, we got the trifecta workin things now, tryin to come back off of former mistakes. give him time, he's no #1, but if we can build around him he'll be a dangerous weapon

one 80 yard bomb to Ginn where he is 8 yards in behind the safety a lot of this does down.

Another intelligent poster, you have to be able to see the fact that he has tremendous speed and is a dangerous weapon in the passing game and in the kick return game as well. How many times did the Dolphins get called for holding on one of his run backs? How many times did he beat his man only to have the pass under thrown or over thrown? Yet, some fans only see a few drops he made...I have seen poorly thrown passes last year and plenty of penalties on kick returns negating a good return. Why isn't he still on the return unit is a mystery to me.

Teddy Bear missed the winning TD against INDY and owes us 2 just to get even -- then we'll talk about him bein' a player.

As frustrated as I am with Ginn, I don't want to trade him. In part because the value isn't there, and in part because his potential upside can still be beneficial to us.

Give him a legit #1 opposite him and he can do some damage. He can be effective in situations where his speed can be utilized to stretch the field, but he's not double-covered or expected to make the clutch catches. He's no #1, but I think his potential contributions can outweigh the meager draft pick compensation we'd get. Ginn opposite Boldin or Marshall would be pretty good.

None of this changes the fact that I think he's completely soft, can't be counted on to make a clutch catch, etc. But he's also a dangerous weapon. A dangerous weapon that needs an obvious compliment - and that's what I really wish the FO would work on.

I think people keep missing the real issue with Teddy Bear -- and it's his toughness, physically and mentally. Elite speed or not the NFL is about physicality (unless of course you play flag football QB for the Cheats in NE) and T Bear is just not a tough hombre ya know. He is, poor T Bear, “soft.”
