Good read at the Dolphins needs for the draft

Who's Jeremiah Bell? Was Justin Smiley a RFA? Normally I don't mind Omar, but I suppose the offseason has dulled his edge a bit.

He means Yeremiah Bell, probably didn't have that spelling in the 'ole spell checker, heh. :D

I really thought it was a good assessment of what we have and what we need. I am less optimistic about the players he's suggesting in the draft, but for what we have, it's pretty good. Like most writers I think he's a bit optimistic on many of our FA pickups, but hey, the offseason is the season of hope, not reality.

I was super-excited when he mentioned a guy who I think is a potential super-sleeper to be had in round 6, 7 or undrafted ... Kroy Biermann. Don't know who he is? well he's 6'3 and about 240 lbs. and played in super-small school competition (Collegiate Championship) where he was the Player of the Year as a DE. He's obviously an LB in the pros if he makes it, and he's got the size and speed to play ILB the way Parcells & Co. like it to be played. He's instinctive and a real playmaker.

But he's never faced any real competition you say? Correct, but consider that he grew up in Montana, not exactly a hotbed of recruiting, and he went to his local school, Montana, so it's possible that this is one of those elite High School prospects that never got a look by the top schools, but he did produce at his level. Ahhh heck, it's been a while, I'm gonna post his highlight film for you. Notice it shows his development from a Freshman rush-end to a Senior monster. He has speed the entire time, gains a lot of weight and strength and maintains that speed. His hands are extremely fast too, and he doesn't give up on plays. If you watch this video and are unimpressed, I will be mightily surprised. Enjoy Kroy Biermann (yes, cool name too).

Spell checker aside, if you're a beat writer for the Dolphins, I'd expect that a players name be second nature, especially when it's Yeremiah. That means no Duante, no Glomph, no Regan Muaia.

Hmm..Just because he's a beat writer...doesn't mean he's smart or can spell....lets cut the guy a break. :D

Are you kidding me? The guy gets paid to do what we're doing, and he gets invited to all the parties and shows. Not that I'd really wanna see Trent Green rap, but I'd appreciate the option
