I agree with this. We have a great foundation with the #1 run game and the #2 run Defense. If the team plays hard they could make the playoffs now. Yet we still need a true #1 WR and you know the staff is looking at the offseason for that. Braylon Edwards has been in the NFL for 5 seasons, had 1 outstanding season in 2007 but his biggest accomplishment since then is having the most dropped passes in 2008(yes, more than Ginn). Can he regain 2007 form? Of course it's possible yes. But if he does for a short time will he just go back to slacking off? He he also has off field problems. He could be the next Plaxico Burruss. Will he be around and reliable in 1,2,3 years? probably not. And if he is he has already been up and down on the field. No, I want someone who you can always count on for a few years to come. Not another David Boston or Ernest Wilford.

I think that we will look for another wr in the offseason .

A.J. Green is only a sophmore. Shipley is old. How long has he been at Texas? Six? Seven years?
Shipley is very, very fast though. He has awesome hands, and can return kicks like a wild man. Green my only be a sophomore but he is big strong, and has very good speed for his size. I want him next year.

I am betting that they go for a big catch passing tight end next year before a wide reciever. This staff loves their tight ends and the one area the coaching staff has expressed the most disappoinment in is not having David Martin back to open up the middle of the field. Who is the best tight end in the draft next year?

let talk about vincent jackson since thats whom the article addresses!

Can he catch!
Absolutely probably his best talent!

Does he run a 4.38
I'm not sure about that i saw LB, catching him from behind! perhaps he has top-end speed like Ginn! by-the-way where's Ronnie Brown's combine 4.3 speed..oh well

Can he create separation
Yes! in two ways
1) With his size, very often in the video link, he simply out-physical his opponent
2) there are times when he gets a step on his opponent, i saw that against bailey, and #21 for the raiders( Sean Smiths, mentor! ) However i think thats more because of his route running and size!

Is he worth a 1st rounder?

If it 20th and lower sure, anything above that no!

Side note: I would think that a Dynamic Wr (Clearly #1) is going to be the top priority for "Next Year". At this point we are what we are, we have what we have! I respect the fact that the management is not having the knee-jerk reaction that everyone seems to want! They originally believed we were good enough at the WR position, clearly this team is not. So Next year in the Off-season they'll give it the proper "respect" that the position deserve. so that we can avoid possible mistakes and get the best available piece for our team! LONNNNGGG TERRMMM..not the quick fix that many addicts on the board are Jones-ing for! thank you
