GAME PLAN: With Frerotte tempering his deep throws, the Dolphins had success playing more conservatively on offense against New Orleans. Although Atlanta's secondary is suspect, expect the Dolphins to continue trying to give the Falcons heavy doses of Brown and Williams.
Defensively, this game will show whether the Dolphins really have corrected their difficulties in stopping the run as they face the NFL's top rushing offense (188.1-yard average). The Dolphins had yielded 365 combined yards in losses to Kansas City and Tampa Bay before holding New Orleans to 90 yards on 17 carries. The Saints, though, don't have nearly the same type of one-two punch that Atlanta has with Warrick Dunn and T.J. Duckett
