Nice article. If he continues doing what he did last season, he'll become DPOY material in no time. We may have a defensive superstar in the making. I hope he knocks Brady around next week, too.
 
Whats the deal with his contract anyway? Did we ever extend him this off season? Is he a free agent after this season or next? I'm sure he's not making anywhere near what he deserves if he's still on his original contract.
 
I can not help but root for two players right now on the team Wake and Wilson, there is just something about the two that strikes a cord with me.

I wish every player put things in perspective like Cam.
“I feel like everything I need, I have,” Wake said. “I don’t have any vices that are expensive. I don’t drink. I don’t shop. I don’t have any Louis Vuitton. I’m not a name-brand guy. No jewellery, either. I’m just not that kind of guy.
“The silver spoon was nowhere near my mouth. I had an old, rusty fork.”
It might seem that somebody forgot to tell Wake that few people doubt him anymore. He refuses to let go of the past that got him here: whether it’s those old CFL sandals in his locker or the car that took him on this ride, Wake remembers how he clawed to get here.

Nice to hear a player like him considers all his humble beginnings. I would be really happy to hear him keep his car even in spite of him getting a contract raise LOL.
