Goodbye Tannehill

Not every sack is the fault of the o-line, just like not every sack is Tannehills fault.

I'm just pointing out that he has poor pocket awareness, and good QB's dont have poor pocket awareness. If Tannehill doesn't have a perfect pocket he can't complete passes..... and even when he does get it, he still can't complete passes accurately.

If you think he still has a chance of being a franchise QB your are out of your mind.

He's learning an all new system and I'm not a knee jerk guy, I can understand circumstances so I'll let the season play out. Today was a bad game for everyone on our team. Not just the qb. And you think I don't understand sometimes sacks are on the qb? The two instances I mentioned were not on him tho.

We are two weeks into your magical year 3 and you are giving up.

He meant 2 years and 2 games

You guys that blame one person (Tannehill) are stupid.

Not your fault your stupid. Product of your DNA and parenting. Good luck

I"m not interested in playing the game that gets played on every thread where we analyze and fight over every drop back and who to pin blame on.

I'm just looking at the two games we watched this year and talking about what I have seen of Tannehill.... and it's not good. Even in the win against the pats he played average at best.

I'm not pinning this loss on Tannehill. I'm making a statement on Tannehills play overall through his career. Try to pay attention.

Still too early in the season for that.
It is actually not too early in the season for that. He is not better. It is too early to say he will not get better, but he is not better now.

He held the ball too long on two sacks but other than Wallace the recievers were getting whipped along with the O line. Tannehill did NOT have a good game but it wasn't a performance you bench someone for at all. How can you throw a reciever open when you have less than two seconds to get rid of it and the DBs are on the recievers like peanut butter on bread? Give me a break. The team lost in all three phases today, flat out.

It's because there have been a lot of bad signs, even in the NE game. I hated seeing all the batted balls today, that is what he struggled with two years ago.

He isn't playing very well for that contract extension.

When is the draft??

What progress have you seen?

His decision-making has been very good and he has avoided some sacks -- even if 1 or 2 were definitely his fault today. After I heard about how terrible his pocket presence was last year, go back and watch that Patriots game again. He escaped 3-4 sacks with his legs and avoided several others with a quick release. I actually feel like he is showing definite improvement in both of those areas of his game.

Problem is he's flat out missing guys. Doesn't matter how good his decisions are when he literally gets picked off because he makes the right read and makes an AWFUL throw to a wide open guy.

I thought this guy was the one. But it has become evident he is not.

Year 3 is supposed to be the year, and he has made no progress.

He is inaccurate, and that's not going to change. He can throw it into a WR "catch zone", but he can't lead WR and can't hit them in stride. Franchise QB's can do that. He is still holding onto the ball too long, and pocket presence continues to be an issue.

It's over, and anyone that says otherwise needs to take off their aqua and orange glasses.

I find it interesting that "Wallace17Miami" chose this to be the post that outed himself as to his alternate username.

Oh it's his pocket presence that got him sacked? Had nothing to do with Shelley Smith getting blown up or satele laying on his back. ..I guess it's Brandon fields fault on the blocked punt because Damien Williams whiffed on his block...

If you want to make that type of comparison you might as well blame Fields' following two shanks on Damien Williams too. Tannehill has played with bad offensive lines and as bad as the lines are, he always makes them worse by failing to get rid of the ball and having an ability to elude the rush that makes Drew Bledsoe look good.

He looked mediocre today but once again there were about 8-9 dropped passes. For once I would like to see Hartline, Clay, Sims and Wallace pull in the passes that hit them in the chest. I know players drop balls but godamn, two straight weeks of the butter fingers is getting old.

When will you request a name change then?

He doesn't need one ... He can just go right back to continue posting his anti-Tanny opinions under "Wallace17Miami" like he did all year last season. :)
