Goodbye Tannehill

How about them overthrows on screen plays, killed them today, Tannehill watch Peyton Manning execute screen plays.

Considering that we lost yards on those quick screens like three times, an incompletion might have been the best result.

Not that I'm going to excuse a bad throw on a screen play -- I rightly ridicule other QBs for that -- but they're garbage playcalls in the first place.

Oh it's his pocket presence that got him sacked? Had nothing to do with Shelley Smith getting blown up or satele laying on his back. ..I guess it's Brandon fields fault on the blocked punt because Damien Williams whiffed on his block...

There were sacks today he could have avoided. If you want to see how a young QB deals with pressure look no further than Manuel today. When he was under pressure he dumped the ball quickly off. But for that you need accuracy and the vision and recognizing blitzes. Tannehill does not recognize a blitz at all. Several blitzes today were right in front of him. I can't even recall one sack from the blind side.
This is called pocket awareness.

Last year Tannehill got a free bee from everybody because of our horrendous line. Our line this year is improved. There will always be pressure on a QB. I expect my franchise QB to recognize these blitzes and act accordingly.

One thing I see with Tannehill is that the game does not slowed down for him. This was his 34th game of his NFL career. And the game is still to fast for him.

He looked mediocre today but once again there were about 8-9 dropped passes. For once I would like to see Hartline, Clay, Sims and Wallace pull in the passes that hit them in the chest. I know players drop balls but godamn, two straight weeks of the butter fingers is getting old.

Two straight weeks of our QB playing a horrible first half. He'll get a better response from his receivers when he starts out a game hitting them accurately instead of doing so only after two bad quarters of football have left them down more than a score before they've even had much opportunity to make a play.

Go look at Tanny's #'s in his last 4 games, all vs. divisional opponents.

Go back and watch last weeks 1st half , it wasn't horrible.

Better response from receivers? Really? This is the NFL, not the playground, make the catches.

Taught my wife what a rainbow pass was today. She had several opportunities to see them today from RT. She couold also see the bad effect of them.

RT problem is consistency.....he can make all the throws, he just not consistent with them....on a drive he may have 8 total throws, 3 will be perfect, 3 will be tough catches and 2 will be bad throws....if the bad throws come on 3rd down the drive is over, if its on 1st or 2nd down we score points....if he can ever get the two missed throws to be the only ones in the game then he will be good enough for us to win championships...I just don't know if that will ever happen.....

Tanny has to get more accurate but there were numerous drops by Hartline, Gibson etc. The funny thing thing is you see Wallace making a ridiculous one hand caych for a TD, but how often does he drop try the gimme throws? Wallace was a little better today but our passing game is hit or miss.
