Goodbye Tannehill

They lost 29-10; not 29-24.

I'm sorry, did my post insinuate they lost a close game? Let me help you get a grasp of what I think about todays game; the offense, defense and special teams sucked, especially ST. No one was good today. Wallace had an above average day, that's it. It wasn't one persons fault, it was the teams fault.

Tannehill is to blame for not one guy touching spiller on the kick return....Tannehill is to,blame for Williams whiffing on his block on the blocked punt...Tannehill is to blame for just about everything I guess

Or it's not Tannehill's fault, it's the ol, no it's the OC, no it's the wideouts, no it's the Philbin, no it's the ST's, no it's the weather or no it's Obama care !

You guys need to stop making excuses for tanny's poor play. Enough is enough, the guy is an average qb at best.

This is taking the same Finheaven path as Chsd Henne does anyone realize this?

Year one no weapons
Year 2 coordinator sucks
Year 3 ok QB sucks

We'll see how it goes.

You guys are over the top. Buffalo was sending 5 guys all day and the recievers weren't getting open against press man. The times they got seperation they dropped balls between the numbers i.e. Hartline and Miller. He wasn't good out there but had very little help. Tannehill didn't muff a punt or allow a 102 yard kickoff return. Sammy Watkins treated our DBs like they weren't even playing. Blame Tannehill for everything though, it just makes so much sense.

Tannehill was part of the reason we lost today. On a day when the defense was holding Barfalo to field goals we could not get a first down. RT made poor throws and bad throws all day.
It is not like this just started. He has been doing this since we drafted him. He just doesn't 'Have it".
If it wasn't for Moreno and the ST play last week, we would have lost to the Patriots as well.
Tannehill cannot carry the team at any time.
Good or great QB's can make miracles happen.

We have a reputable and excellent OC and OL coach
We have weapons.
The problem is the QB by process of elimination.
Also coming into the discussion is the head coach. How will he handle this? It may define his future as well.

langer what has philbin ever done to become a head coach? hes supposed to be an offensive guru yet this offense has been pathetic since hes been the hc. he brings absolutely nothing to the table. you can flame me all you want but this guy was an absolute mercy hire by mr.magoo. ive never seen a more irrelevant, clueless, do nothing hc in my life.

Hope means the end of his future here. So tired of these team laying turds under Philbin

You obviously ain't listening much, he usually takes the blame and says he needs to play better

Well, as long as you aint askin my wife, I listen fine most of the time LOL. Maybe a few times in the past he has used the word "I", but yesterday when he really stank it up is when he needs to own up. I kind of got the impression he was saying, hey I had a bad day, but I aint taking all the blame for this sh*t! He didn't have a Tony Romo 3 interceptions bad day, but he didn't make a lot happen when he could have either. His accuracy is declining by the week. Last week, in the 2nd half, he managed the game well partly because we ran the ball well. This week without a running game, and strong pressure by the D-line, he managed the game about as poorly as I have ever seen him. He probably still isn't comfortable with this offense. Hopefully, he will bounce back next week. Criticism or not, all I want is our team to win. With or without Tannehill.

...Next topic recommendations...boneheaded mistakes by our O-line. When to double team, and when not to let a D-lineman run free... ;-)

What longtime NFL scout Dan Shonka said about Ryan Tannehill:

2012 Guide: What Ourlads' NFL Scouting Services said about RYAN TANNEHILL: Texas A&M, 6037 221 4.65. Started 19 games at quarterback in his career and ran an NFL scripted offense installed by former Packer head coach Mike Sherman. He caught 11 passes for 143 yards before moving over to quarterback at mid-season in 2010. Played under center and also in the shotgun. A right-handed passer with good arm strength and athletic ability. Athletically Tannehill has certain critical factors and position specifics that are holding him back. Book smart but does he process football information quickly at the line of scrimmage or on the run? There were several cases where he could have easily run for a first down and he threw a poor pass or threw the ball away. Consistency was best against weaker opponents. Against Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas State, Texas, and Oklahoma State his record was 0-6 and he had a 12/12 TD/INT ratio. He averaged 5.7 yards per attempt in three games completing 57% of his passes. His decision making and field vision are in question because of throwing into double coverage and forcing the ball into coverage. He doesn’t seem comfortable in the pocket. Throws best on roll out and sprint out type action. Ball placement has been inconsistent, struggling to put the ball where the receiver doesn’t have to adjust before running. Despite his tall stature his delivery point is low and gets several tipped passes. Must develop quarterback sixth sense in the pocket. He has the athletic tools to play quarterback, but lacks the game time experience of several quarterbacks coming out. He needs to improve on his accuracy, “feel” for the position, decision making, game management, and consistency. As a wide receiver, Tannehill caught 112 passes good for 4th in school history and gained 1596 yards which ranked him 5th on the Aggie all-time list. He also scored 10 receiving touchdowns. He is the only FBS player with 3000 passing yards and 1500 receiving yards to his credit. He also has a 400-yard passing game and a 200-yard receiving game. Grades out as a good backup who may be an eventual starter with developmental time. 2011 stats: 327/531, 3744 passing yds, 61.6%, 29 TDs, 15 INTs. Did not work out at the Combine. Second/third round. (A-32 5/8, H-9, SS-DNP, VJ-DNP).

Holy **** they nailed it!!

Look Thill missed some throws and that happens they all do but its a team game and I can't tell you how many times our guys just drop easy passes to keep drives alive and confidence growing (**** back to back weeks theres been 3 dropped tds on perfectly thrown deep balls to Hartiline, Sims, and Wallace which the one to wallace was not a great throw but it was there and the $70 mil wr could have made a better effort to get his feet in it should have been a td) and theres been many more easy drops stalling drives .... Its a damn shame guys can't catch the ball for him or wed prob all be having a diff discussion today.

With a few catches Thill could have been looking at a almost 300 yard day and 2 to 3 TDs no picks. As I said yes he missed some throws but its a team game. Oh and our line sucked again thats a big factor.

Tannehill is miami dolphins starting qb whether you like it or not. The season has just begun he has to improve but this loss doesn't just go on him , we lost this as a team, from dropping passes to watkins playing at will, lamar miller dropping a crucial third down pass , Spiller taking one to the house it was horrible. Tannehill still gives us the best chance of winning next week you guys will praise him.
