Goodbye Tannehill

I thought this guy was the one. But it has become evident he is not.

Year 3 is supposed to be the year, and he has made no progress.

He is inaccurate, and that's not going to change. He can throw it into a WR "catch zone", but he can't lead WR and can't hit them in stride. Franchise QB's can do that. He is still holding onto the ball too long, and pocket presence continues to be an issue.

It's over, and anyone that says otherwise needs to take off their aqua and orange glasses.
Anyone who ever played football would agree with you. Anyone who really know what good QB play is would also agree with you. I saw this in Buffalo in 2012 when Tannehill played a horrible game up there. i also Saw Devone Bess throwing his helmet in frustration when Tannehill threw the ball behind him and Jarius Byrd intercepted it. I knew then that this kid was not very good, and I have said it MANY, MANY times on this forum. I am at the point now where I am done talking about Tannehill and Philbin. My attention is now focused on Dennis Hickey. I am more concerned about where he is leaning in terms of getting us a new QB for 2015. Will Jim Harbaugh want full control if he becomes the next HC?

I FEEL LIKE I NEED TO REMIND EVERYONE THAT WERE ONLY TWO GAMES INTO THE YEAR!!!! YET THILL IS THE WORST QB EVER AND IS DONE LOL....JUDGE HIM AT THE END OF THE YEAR. ALSO STOP PUTTING ALL THE BLAME ON HIM NOBODYS MAKING PLAYS WHEN THEY'RE THERE (Including him on some short throws).

but.....If our wr could catch easily thrown balls Thills stats through 2 weeks would easily look something like.

550-600 yards 5-6 TDs an 1 pick thats pretty damn good.

Some of the Tannehill sympathizers must agree Tannehill has some serious accuracy issues. You simply can't win without it. Pennington didn't have the strongest arm but he places the ball perfectly. And we went to the playoffs with him.

Tannehill simply doesn't have "IT". He's not the answer. It's only week 2 and I'm ready for Moore. I want to see some deep balls that are actually completed for a change.

I was agreeing with you that the defense and special teams did not play well. My point was that those failures do not preclude Tannehill from showing some development. The Saints lost two close games but Drew Brees did his job. Tannehill deserves the criticism for his performance.

I'm sorry, did my post insinuate they lost a close game? Let me help you get a grasp of what I think about todays game; the offense, defense and special teams sucked, especially ST. No one was good today. Wallace had an above average day, that's it. It wasn't one persons fault, it was the teams fault.

I just can't take starting over again.... when are we going to hit when we pick a QB???

I don't see Tannehill getting better. He just has a tough time consistently hitting his receivers, even though our receivers often have the drops. I think if he doesn't improve than we draft a QB in 2015 and go from there.

I've heard it mentioned that the Colts have the worst personnel in the league. I'm sure the Packers are not far behind. Yet their QB's can elevate their teams to 10-11 wins.

I would like to think that the Dolphins overall personnel outside of QB is closer to the Bengals, though not quite as good. My point is that if only Tannehill could develop to the same level as Dalton, then the Dolphins could be competitive each year. What is scary is that Tannehill will never even rise to the level of Andy Dalton, let alone an elite QB. And this is sad, because this should be a reasonable achievement for the #8 pick in the draft.

RTSuperbowl2014 must be WVDolphan's other account. After 2 games in a new offensive system and you're gonna spew this garbage? Give me a break.

:lol2: 2 games into a 16 game season of his 3rd year. Glasses? You need a telescope, because you view is from another planet.

We should have seen improvement from last year, especially given his 2 poor performances to end the season, and we have not.

It's that simple.

This is a league QB's should thrive in, and he isn't.

Maybe you should try watching the games.

The system doesn't make you in-accurate.... the QB is the reason he is in-accurate..... nice try though

Anyone who thinks Tannehill is the answer is clearly only looking at box score's and not watching the games.
