Goodbye Tannehill

based off two games this year? Come on man

---------- Post added at 05:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:45 PM ----------

Let's put some of this on Lazor. Wasn't this supposed to be a push the pace offense?? The only no huddle I have seen was when they clipped the Bills 30 yard line in the second half. They didn't use it at all really vs the Pats. I am confused why the philosophy of Lazor isn't being utilized at this point

yes, after two games. RT looked confused yesterday. As an RT supporter these past two years, I've lost a lot of confidence in him in just two weeks.

Wait until next week when we play the chiefs. Tannehill will set the world on fire and everybody will be singing his praises. I don't know about anybody else, but it's the inconsistency that is driving me crazy. Do we have a legit QB or not?
If you have to ask.... Then you don't.

No one will be singing his praises because he's inaccurate, and even if we win that's likely to still be the case.

this is about the same point in career that Chad Henne was benched.

This speaks volumes.
Chad Henne stats before week 5 2011 benching

31 starts, 13-18 record
639 of 1053 (60.6%) 7047 yards 31 TD's and 37 Ints, QBR 75.7, Yards per attempt 6.691

Ryan Tannehill

34 starts, 16-18 record.
686 of 1153 (59.5%) 7626 yards 39 TD's and 32 ints, QBR 78.9, Yards per attempt 6.614

You all wanted to drive Shouright away but it is looking like he was spot on.

These stats speak volumes! Tannehill is far from the answer. He will be the next jaguars qb.

I've heard it mentioned that the Colts have the worst personnel in the league. I'm sure the Packers are not far behind. Yet their QB's can elevate their teams to 10-11 wins.

I would like to think that the Dolphins overall personnel outside of QB is closer to the Bengals, though not quite as good. My point is that if only Tannehill could develop to the same level as Dalton, then the Dolphins could be competitive each year. What is scary is that Tannehill will never even rise to the level of Andy Dalton, let alone an elite QB. And this is sad, because this should be a reasonable achievement for the #8 pick in the draft.

Mort Report
Another great stat: #Bengals QB Andy Dalton has dropped back 63 times to pass and has not been hit once. #protection"

I thought this guy was the one. But it has become evident he is not.

Year 3 is supposed to be the year, and he has made no progress.

He is inaccurate, and that's not going to change. He can throw it into a WR "catch zone", but he can't lead WR and can't hit them in stride. Franchise QB's can do that. He is still holding onto the ball too long, and pocket presence continues to be an issue.

It's over, and anyone that says otherwise needs to take off their aqua and orange glasses.

I never expected him to be a franchise QB. I was looking for above average (10-14). I have not given up hope for that outcome, and I am going to give him at least 4 more games in this new offense before I really evaluate him.

Not cool, quoting my post and adding your comments like I said them.

I was simply posting stats. I haven't given up on RT17 yet but his inconsistencies are wearing thin on me.

But yeah he is very similar to Henne at same points of career which is NOT good.

While Tannehill deserves some criticism, he was not the problem. Here were the problems in order of importance:

1. Special teams issues led to 13 points by the Bills. The two short fields that resulted in field goals and the TD return.

2. The interior of the offensive line failed to do their job.

3. The running backs failed to do their job. Moreno and Darkwa were the only ones with yards after contact.

4. The receivers dropped too many.

5. Tannehill's issues with ball location and trying to do too much.

You guys are over the top. Buffalo was sending 5 guys all day and the recievers weren't getting open against press man. The times they got seperation they dropped balls between the numbers i.e. Hartline and Miller. He wasn't good out there but had very little help. Tannehill didn't muff a punt or allow a 102 yard kickoff return. Sammy Watkins treated our DBs like they weren't even playing. Blame Tannehill for everything though, it just makes so much sense.

I'm not blaming Tannehill for the loss. Although he didn't help.

This thread was about how Tannehill is not the answer. He simply has no pocket presence and is an inaccurate QB. That's the reason Trent Green (or Dilfer.... whichever Trent it was) was ripping him during week 1 about his accuracy on the broadcast. It's year three.... this stuff should be better by now and he is regressing.

Yeah, cause you're a realist right? :troll::troll::troll::troll:

Yes - because unlike you, I can admit Tannehill is a problem that's not going to get better.

You just blindly follow and accept mediocrity.

If I did that I apologize, sometimes I post from my phone and screw that up.

Yeah except Henne didn't play behind one of the worst lines we've ever had. Plus Thills first year if not for Dan Carpenter they make playoffs and last year they make it as well with just a little bit better line (that line cost us so many games its not even funny)

No comparison here Thill will be fine its weeks 2 lol some people on here wow. But we went into a sold out fired up buffalo crowd with the Kelly Ceremony, the announcement of them staying in buff and the honoring of their owner. You knew they would come in and play lights out and with how bad we played we still could have won easy (if spiller doesn't ret that kick we win i bet)

I found ironic that you started saying you were totally wrong with your assessment just 2 weeks before....and still, whoever doesnt agree with you now is a blind homer.... if you were totally wrong, maybe you could use some modesty and humility, instead of trying to call out any person that still has a different opinion

ps- the problem with shouright wasnt his opinion of RT, but the ossessive way he spammed all the forum with the same thread in differnt form, every freaking day, 3 time a day....

Yet wv is still allowed to post here. How is that possible???

well, to be honest, WV doesn't open a thread a day: he has his weekly get real thread and one or 2 about the week hot topic.... Iit is sopportable, I don't agree with him, but I don't think there is any problem with him (unless he start to troll other thhread, like he sometime does)

Imo, it's not the opinion, but the way you express: I am a supporter of Tannehill, but I don't see a problem if you are not a and you want to argue about that... with Shou, for me, the problem was how many ideantical thread he opened every damn day. As I told him, if he opened just one thread to watch, ina statistical way, the Tannehill game, I would have appreciated it .... too bad

Typical response from a troll!!

Ryan Tannehill is destined to go the way of Chad Henne. It is obvious now that 85% of the fans have no confidence in him anymore and now it is becoming clearer that Philbin has lost confidence in him also. And based on his Press Conference on Sunday, he knows it. The Dolphins have to decide in May whether to pick up the option on his fifth year and if they decide to extend him, it's at least 15 Million Dollars. How many of you think Tannehill is worth even half of that based on his play so far? Show of hands please.
