Goodbye Tannehill

Ryan Tannehill is destined to go the way of Chad Henne. It is obvious now that 85% of the fans have no confidence in him anymore and now it is becoming clearer that Philbin has lost confidence in him also. And based on his Press Conference on Sunday, he knows it. The Dolphins have to decide in May whether to pick up the option on his fifth year and if they decide to extend him, it's at least 15 Million Dollars. How many of you think Tannehill is worth even half of that based on his play so far? Show of hands please.

No one can say he's worth that at this point. But you also don't have a crystal ball to say that he will be destined to be another Chad Henne. He certainly hasnt lived up to my expectations for this season so far, but it's not quite time to throw in the towel.

thanks, I'm going to post this every time someone start in about how Tannehill needs more time or he's about to turn a corner... lol. delusional morons.

Wait... why? Chad Henne was a 4 year starter coming into the league. Tannehill came in as a known project that will take a while. I don't really see the comparison.

I'm losing faith in Tannehill as well. But this is a dumb point.

I thought this guy was the one. But it has become evident he is not.

Year 3 is supposed to be the year, and he has made no progress.

He is inaccurate, and that's not going to change. He can throw it into a WR "catch zone", but he can't lead WR and can't hit them in stride. Franchise QB's can do that. He is still holding onto the ball too long, and pocket presence continues to be an issue.

It's over, and anyone that says otherwise needs to take off their aqua and orange glasses.

I'm no RT jock sniffer but he is the best QB we have had here in the last 10 yrs.....you make a valid point about his deficiencies but its only game 2 of yr 3 give the kid a chance to show he has improved....that Buffalo D is a top 10 D so he was playing against some excellent competition.... he will always have pocket presence issues, that's something you have or you don't but on the other issues I think he has improved some just not to point of where we need him to be to beat a top 10 D.....I think we should have brought in a QB to compete with him and put him under some pressure in the summer and make him earn his job, he would have been better for it......

While Tannehill deserves some criticism, he was not the problem. Here were the problems in order of importance:

1. Special teams issues led to 13 points by the Bills. The two short fields that resulted in field goals and the TD return.

2. The interior of the offensive line failed to do their job.

3. The running backs failed to do their job. Moreno and Darkwa were the only ones with yards after contact.

4. The receivers dropped too many.

5. Tannehill's issues with ball location and trying to do too much.

Just stop it.....its ok for a middle of the road QB to have a bad game.....RT had a bad game, when you are down 9 and drive down the field to start the second half and you miss a wide open WR on the 5 yd on 3rd down which makes you settle for a fg...you are not helping the team.....RT went up against a very good defense without his running game and got beat, he played poorly AGAIN on the road in Buffalo....

You are WAAAAAY off.

Tannehills issues with ball location are waaaaaay up there.

Also, I would never accuse Tannehill of "trying to do too much". He's not even doing what is expected of him. Trying to do too much.... LOL

Trade him to St. Louis or Oakland, and keep flipping the pick Pats style until Hackenburg comes out. All in on Hax.

No one would trade for him.

Jags will pick him up this offseason.

Dude, you are too extreme. You're either too high on him or too low on him. Plenty of teams would still love to get their hands on RT to try to see if they could develop him. In a QB starved league, plenty of teams would make offers for him.

They need to draft a quarterback next year. Tannehill sucks! I am tired of watching this guy fold under pressure. The guy is lucky if he throws one touchdown a game!

I understand what happened in the game up front and on defense with our secondary and special team. But what I don't understand is how RT can not do anything more with HIS OWN TALENT. This guys isn't even top talent in fact he is plane average. That is what upsets me because it is his 3rd year and this is the same RT he have seen except with a better offensive coordinator. Sure yea pressure really messes with a Quarter back. I get that! I really do. But didn't he learn anything last year? Anything at all from being the most sacked qb in the NFL last year? The first game he threw it away, ran around a bit, ect ect. This time he just looked ugly. Sorry. But as of right now with game 3 coming. I see VERY LITTLE improvement so far. Hopefully he changes my mind.

I did not say he had a good game. I said he is not the biggest problem. It is a very different game if the score is 16-10 in the 4th quarter. Special teams was a much bigger problem.

He needs to improve his consistency with ball location. He admitted it today. Go back and look at all his passes from last game. His ball location is better than you are making it out to be. Still plenty of room for improvement, but there are bigger problems with this team.
