Goodell gets owned *Dolphins related*

isn't fergie part of an all black band and isn't j-lo hispanic? using those two as examples of negativity is pretty foolish i think - despite their lyrics or public venue commentary and work. the fact is pretty obvious that having j-lo, fergie AND williams sisters sends exactly the kind of image goodell is talking about...bringing different people together. the dolphins ownership is reflective of that idea. rush limbaugh has had a divisive radio persona for years...part of the definition of rush limbaugh's radio show has been to lambast liberal policies which have some very powerful ties to specific ethnicities. it is difficult to gauge how much of limbaugh's vitriolic commentary is directed at liberal policy or the people the liberal policies defend and protect. it is pretty obvious, acutely obvious, that minorities in every sense of the word make up the liberal agenda and body since it is these very minorities that are non-standard, culturally speaking, and consequently socially opposed to the standard, conservative, traditional, static values of american culture. it doesn't take a genius to figure out that one can drive a wedge between cultures just by presenting the political dichotomy of conservatism vs liberalism in a self-serving light. rush limbaugh is adept at doing this.... he is very clever in presenting a conservative-vs-liberal agenda whilst actually speaking about two cultural bodies - whites vs minorities - at odds with one another. it is THIS VERY point goodell is talking about when mentioning divisive comments by limbaugh...goodell is actually smart to not speak specifically about comments because limbaugh, himself, doesn't ever speak specifically about stereotypes and cultural division - he does it in metaphors and synecdoches. one shouldn't even look at the divisiveness...what has limbaugh done to portray the coming together of different people, the unity of diverse individuals? he doesn't. limbaugh unites a segment of people...he unifies specific values.

goodell made the right choice...he is a smart man. he spoke and represented the NFL and the players association and the fans admirably.
