Just a thought relating to the two latest news articles....I don't think the Saints need a RB but it's just a thought.....don't crucify me

If we are possibly going to get something for gordon, I would rather have a pick in next years draft.

Yes I think we can get Adrian for nothing so why not try and get a late rounder for gordon.

My thoughts exactly. I like a QB who can move in the pocket. It opens up our options

If they're going to cut him, there's no reason to trade for him. I'm hoping we can replace our 5th rounder next year by trading Gordon.

I have wanted Mcpherson for about a year before the draft. I was upset when he was available and wasn't selected. Off field issues big deal in todays world. The Boldin/ Sapp/ Randy Moss's of the world are still some of the greates picks ever due to speculation about "off field issues". The sure thing Courteny Browns, Gerard Warren's, and Ryan Sims ( not to mention Leif and Couch) are far more common. The Lawrence Phillips of the world are few and far between. I wasn't upset with our picks this year mind you (thanks NICK!) but still would love to get Mcpherson on our team.

I still think that Gordon for Mcpherson is a great idea. We don't need him as a RB. We need someone young with potential like Mcpherson.

what have we got to lose by doing it. We have no qb and are loaded with rbs

Gordon for a draft pick or veteran QB would be nice, though the former sounds more feasible. There has to be some dumb GM out there. If Rick Spielman became the Colts GM, we could get Peyton Manning for Gordon.

of course a pick for Gordon would be nice but I'd do the Gordon for Adrian deal.

As much as I touted Lamar before TC started (of which I have now become totally let down by his play :( ) There's no guarantee that we'd get anything more than a 6th right now for Gordon....his value has dropped significantly....getting Mcpherson, a 4th round pick, is...well....like getting a 4th round draft pick.

Mcpherson is a developement guy, plain and simple. Getting him by trade gives us 3 years (his contract with N.O.) to try to develope the guy into a pro-passer at a very cheap rate (salary wise). I see this as a "+" trade for us as Gordon's value to us is way way down becuase we have great depth at RB and yet we don't have the same thing at QB (with a higly talented young, cheap QB).

The side benefit from a Gordon for Adrian trade is that Sage can then be traded for a 6th (possibly 5th but not likely) round pick.

Basically...yeah...I'd do it. :)
