With Frank Gore unlikely to play Sunday in Miami because of his sprained left ankle, Foster is preparing for a significant role in the offense as the primary ball carrier. It will be his first extensive playing time of the season after spot-relieving Gore throughout the first 13 games.

He hasn't done much carrying to this point, with 37 rushes for 78 yards and no touchdowns. Foster said his 2.1-yard average per carry is not representative of his true ability.

Gore, meanwhile, said he is feeling better by the day but he was still limping in the locker room and did not practice Thursday, the most important day of preparation during the week.

Wouldn't you rather play a team with Gore? Especially since this is his homecoming game.

I rather not see Gore, but either way I think we see 9-5 . . . so bring it on Franky.

No. Even if it is his homecoming game. I'd rather play with Greg Camarillo and Justin Smiley, but hey injuries happen and if Gore is out I'll take that all day.

Just as long as you don't think this game is going to be a walk in the park. Our defense has gotten a lot better since Coach Sing came into power, and Gore has been seeing more daylight with our passing game opening up under Hill.

I miss Smiley, he was a good Lineman on a pretty weak O-Line that we really need to build upon.

I personally don't go into any game thinking it will be a walk in the park. Anything can happen come game time. Having said that, I AM confident that Miami can and will win. It may be close, but at the end of the day I believe we will come away with the W. I can't frickin' wait for Sunday.

Who would have thought this game would be just a good game to watch at the beginning of the season. I mean the Niners are officially out of the playoffs, yet the way they have been playing and how the Dophins are still playing to get into the playoffs, this is going to be a great game to watch.

He hasn't practiced all week & he isn't suiting up today either. I would venture to guess that he is not going to play.

It wouldn't be the first time he missed practice all week and then played in the game. Just don't count him out until kickoff.

Not sure how many of you remember this, but the year Ricky chose weed over his team, Foster was one of the RB's we tried to go after. This was until he said he'd rather be a backup in Carolina (to Davis) than a starter in Mia. I honestly never, ever understood that. I realize Car maybe had a better outlook, but what man with any competitive backbone wouldn't jump at the opportunity to be a feature back and show the world what he thinks he is... clearly Foster is a gutless backup loser, and I hope he gets his bell rung hard Sunday.
