Gosder Cherilus is a monster!

yes he does. not a bad pick, but they say he will be a RT, but a very good one (maybe pro bowl level) which wouldnt be a bad pick, i think nicks would play LT and could be had in the #32 or Cherilus
. Nicks is starting to fall but is a great talent and a monster

I like him but there are def better players out there. Ifyou remember he got moved to LT late in the year and he was not the same player. He had 7 penalties, 5.5 sacks and had 4 pressures. The scouts say he has a limited change-in direction ability. I had us taking him with the #32 but I think I like Nicks in this spot. But Cherilus could be fixed by Sparano and BP. Do you guys like Nicks

Yeah too bad he couldn't use those hands better to stop guys like Chris Ellis, Jeremy Thompson, Kellen Davis (yes, the Tight End), and even Daniel DeLaire of Massachusetts....from getting to the quarterback.

I say draft Chris Long, Jake Long, Sedrick Ellis or Vernon Gholston.

I do not want to draft Nicks! We need to stay clear of him!

I'm pretty convinced our pick at 32 is definantly going to be an offensive tackle. The real question is who does Sparano take more of a liking to:

1.Gosder Cherilus
2.Carl Nicks
3.Sam Baker

I personally would like to see Cherilus in aqua and orange - people keep suggesting we move Carey back to RT but forget he had a pretty good year at LT. Guys like Jeff Otah and Brandon Albert will be long gone.

At at 57, guys like Heath Benedict, Anthony Collins, and Chilo Rachal is who we should target.

I watched a game of Cherilus playing RT, and I have to say, he looked pretty bad...got beaten like a drum. Not sure that one game is enough to evaluate him, but I came away thinking he'd probably make a good guard.

Are you sure you weren't watching Anthony Costonzo? Cherilus didn't play a single game at Right Tackle in all of 2007.

Heath died unfortunately. Anthony Collins would be a nice RT for us. I'm still on the Vernon Carey bandwagon at LT.

Well, now you got me wondering, so I went back to see if I had the tape, but apparently it got taped over. I'm positive it was Cherilus, and he looked really bad, but apparently, it had to be on the left side. It may be that I remember him playing on the right side from the senior bowl, although I know he didn't do bad in that game, so it had to be from a season game where he played LT. Also, it's apparent that my memory is going downhill fast.
