How would you grade this team by position? What do you think is our biggest need?

QB: C+ (Tannehill is not great but I think he could do damage with a better OL and a good running game behind him. Some of our best games with Tannehill came with a good running attack. All of this comes from our OL issues. My problem with Tannehill is that he does not have pocket presence and he holds onto the ball at times. Tannehill also struggles throwing deep passes. Now we do not have any depth behind Tannehill, Brook make decisions facer than Tannehill but his arm is not as strong.) Mid-Priority Upgrade Needed

RB: C+ possibly B+ with OL upgrade (I cannot really grade this position properly because of our OL issues but I think we have great RBs who can catch, block, and run but our OL and play calling limits their success.

WR: B (I like this unit when healthy, we started off pretty good but injuries caught up to us. I think they will let Parker walk and try to sign a red zone threat type receiver.) Low-Priority Upgrade Needed

OL: D+ (I am not a Tannehill fan but I do believe that he would do much better if our OL was better. We cannot run the ball well. If we had a good OL it would help the running and passing game. We look weak when we play against strong DLs. The depth sucks especially at RT, we need a good C and RG.) Very High-Priority Upgrade Needed ASAP

DL: C- (we are not good in this area, if we do not blitz, we have very little chance of getting sacks. Cam is getting old and we can see it, he is very stiff this year. Our tackles do not show up, we need help on the whole line. I would say 1 DT and 1 DE.) High-Priority Upgrade Needed

LB: C (this is and has been a very weak spot on this team for a while now. Kiko is having a good year, but we have zero depth and we are very young at the position. Baker may develop, but I am not sold on McMillan. Our backups are mostly special teams players who would not start on any other team. The ideal situation at LB is having great depth where your backups could start on other teams or at least get quality playing time.) Mid-Priority Upgrade Needed

CB: C- without Howard, B with Howard (Howard has been a monster this season, we are going to have to pay him, I hope we stop this trend of letting our great player go and keep Howard when the time comes. With that said, we need depth at the position, we do not have any quality CBs behind Howard.) High-Priority Upgrade Needed

S: B- (this could be a B+, A position if Jones wasn't having an off year. McDonald does seem much of a threat on pass defense, as he only looks to deliver big hits every game.) Low-Priority Upgrade Needed -maybe, depending on Jones

Returners: C+ (even with Grant, this position is shaky, I think with all of the rule changes, the kicking game is less of a factor.) Mid-Priority Upgrade Needed

Kicker: B possible A (Franks looks very good for a rookie kicker, I cannot remember the last time we had a kicker who could kick deep into the end zone. Frank currently has 51 touchbacks and is 94% on his field goals.) No Upgrade Needed

Biggest needs

OL: I think we need to address our OL ASAP this offseason with quality upgrades. I believe this will fix almost all of our problems outside of play calling.

OL: 2 free agent backups and 1st and 4th round draft picks

DL: upgrading the DL will help make our LBs play and look better, this would help with our horrible run defense and no sack games.

DL: 1 free agent starting DT, 3rd round DE

CB: we look horrible while Howard has been out, we need a quality starter so Minkah could return to S.

CB: 1 free agent nickel and 2nd round pick starter

I think DT and CB are the biggest concerns. We has 2 CB's playing out of position and 3 ham and eggers who shouldn't even be on the field splitting time this past week. We need better O-line backups and an upgrade at RG and C should be looked at, assuming Sitton comes back healthy LG should be locked up for at least a week ;=).

Your analysis is fine but your draft strategy. This draft is loaded and I mean once in a decade loaded with defensive line talent which you acknowledge as a need. It would be criminal to not spend two of our first three draft picks on defensive line. Personally I would add another around round five

There will probably be at least 25 linemen with first round grades so you'll be able to draft great quality for the first three rounds and a few might slip to later rounds

This offseason needs to be geared towards OL and DL.
