Grade This Draft...

I love this draft. I give it an A- only because we didn't draft a LB. I don't want to see Misi playing mike LB.

I don't think round 1 could have played put better. IF Phillips meets his potential its an A. Love Ajayi and am intrigued by Lippett at db. Today I go B+.

That 2nd round pick still has me scratching my head... Exchange Phillips for Perryman and you have a AAAA+++

But

I think it's a B grade for me at the moment.

Had we gotten Perryman on the 2nd, I'd go A+. Given what actually happened B-

I think it's too early to say.

I love Parker and Ajayi. I think we all hoped for a quick fix at ILB in 2nd round but Phillips might be a great complimentary piece to D-Line.

Jamil Douglas looks like someone who can compete at guard but I really don't know anything about O-lineman. I think rest of guys are a crapshoot but all look to have high risk, high potential.

A -

I would've liked to have seen us pick up a MLB, but I don't think I've ever felt this good initially about a Dolphins draft.
I love Parker and always have, Phillips is a mountain of a man that gives us a potentially dominant D line, we drafted a good, athletic guard, a speedy playmaking corner, and I do think that Ajayi is the steal of the draft and better than Lamar Miller day one. Maybe he'll have a short NFL career, but I'll be very excited to watch him this year.

I'm not going to grade this draft since the draft isn't even over yet, but my negative on it is that it seems with Douglass and Phillips they went against their philosophy and chose guys who "Might not love football", and I'm basing this only on things I've read. I get drafting guys for physical attributes, but if they bust out it's not going to be due to physical inability, rather mental aspects (it seems). I don't know why they're picking guys who offer this possibility, after just going through what they went through with Dion Jordan.
That being said, I like the Parker pick, love the Minnesota Safety pick, love Ajayi, just hope that knee holds up for the length of his contract.
