QB- B-, did a nice job for what he had to work with. He put his receivers in a position to have a chance at the ball and they didnt get to it. But Gus did a nice job.

HB- C, Ronnie didnt have a great game running and made some mistakes receiving, but did a nice job pass blocking and appears to pick up the blitz really well. Sammy Morris did a real nice job running the ball averaging 6 yards per carry.

WR- D-, This group did not play well at all, there were 5 drops today, They didnt get open and they didnt fight for the ball. Other than booker this group is under acheiving.

TE- A+, major bright spot, McMike possibly played the best game of his life and Lorenzo Diamond did a nice job too.

OL- D, They did what they could against a very good jets D-line. They did a decent job protecting Gus. They did however fail to make big holes. They arent getting much push. They are however making small seams that a more experianced back such as Morris can see.

DL- B, Did a nice job against the run and got a good pass rush for the most part. There were times when Chad had all day to throw but for the most part they played really good.

LB- A-, Played very well. Seau had a great game. He looked like his old self. Zach Thomas played his usual type of game and Channing is continuing to improve, although he had a bone headed personal foul.

CB- F, This group did terrible, Howard was continually getting beat, Daniels couldnt stop anything, and Madison was also getting beat. Chad "weak armed" Pennington lit them up. This has to improve if the dolphins are going to have a legit chance at play offs

S- C, The safeties did a good job over the top. We played a lot of cover 2 and they were doing what they could flying to the ball. They did struggle a little bit when we played quarters.

ST- B, Mare did a nice job on kick offs but missed his only feild goal attempt. Jones did a good job punting and got 1 inside of the 5.

OVERALL... C
 
i think that you did a great job there... as far as the running game goes... we can't expect ronnie to see those things so early with missing so much of tc... i think that if the ol steps up and when ricky is back we can be a threat to anyone...
 
CB and O-Line struggling was expected....but for the WR corps to have so many drops is bad. It would be fun to watch tape of this game and see if there was any particular reason for the drops. Seems Chris had a couple of bigtime drops....could it have been something like physical coverage or something that caused the receivers to drop so many balls? I didn't see the game (listened to it) so am grasping at straws here.....The announcers indicated that they were just simple drops.....
 
Very good points. I agree with you. Now if we can eliminate our stupid bone-head penalties and drop balls we will do better next week. As far as the playoff...i dont think so. I see this team as an 8-8 team. Weak db and 0-line play will prevent us from the playoffs.
 
Our kicking game C- or D+/........sorry but we are not getting our money's worth from Mare....yes the snap was not his fault but he rushed his FG attempt,....he had time to kick it and rushed it and hooked it.....no points...had he made the kick we would have been within 7.....instead we spent most of the game down by two scores (10 points). :mad:

Obviously you watched a different QB than I did... Gus sucked again today. He consistently overthrew his recievers. Couldn't throw accurately. The only difference between this week and last was that his recievers were making great catches all last week.. this week they didn't. Sorry, I'd have to give Gus a D and because the OL played even worse than he did, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and not make it and F...

As far as the secondary, I really think the difference was that there was very little pressure on Chad most of the day...when he had time to throw, he exposed the overall secondary for what we really thought it was...needing improvement...

THANK YOU. I'm glad I'm not the only one actually watching these games.

I was very disgusted by how totally inaccurate Gus is. All game long he consistently overthrew his receivers - when he wasn't busy throwing behind them. Several passes out in the flat were behind their targets and his deep ball was consistently poor.

It's really sad the way fans ripped Feeley in the preseason for throwing short passes when in games like this it's obvious those are the only ones Gus makes.

Funny--I pretty much seen it this way--There are others that seen Ronnie's performance to bevery below par

There was nobody within 5 yards of Mare when he swung his leg and fell down and shanked it....Mare panicked because the snap was high and then rushed it.
End of story.
