Jakeem Grant is undergoing season-ending lower leg surgery today. The hope is he’ll be ready for spring ball but he will absolutely be back for the start of the 2019 season

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jakeem Grant will be placed on injured reserve Monday, according to an NFL source, marking another significant loss for a team that has been plagued by injuries this season.

Grant, in his third season, suffered an Achilles’ tendon injury against the Green Bay Packers Nov. 11. And although the source confirmed the tendon was not ruptured, which will save Grant from undergoing full reconstructive surgery and a rehabilitation process that would last 10-12 months, the receiver did undergo a lesser procedure to address the problem.

I have never seen a team with this many injuries across the board. We are literally playing with the backups to the backups.

I don't know. Someone that relies on his speed to make plays, it is not good news that an Achilles injury requires surgery. I hope for the best because I really like Grant and feel he was way underutilized, but this may signal the end of his career.

Why? I took it as bringing up a good memory with those two when Miami was winning and they were healthy. I want to go back to that too.
