Please listen to me before you flame. Not that im not happy about the Dolphins winning, but im not happy they are starting their annual once it's to late to actually do anything we go on our winning streak.

Here is the problem, at 3-6 with a very tough schedule the rest of the year and mabey we win a few of those to think we will go undefeated now is a bit of a fantasy, so we end up again 1 game out of the playoff's everyone screams momentum for next year the press says the Dolphins are the hottest team (oh but miss the playoffs) and next year we will get em right?

Not so fast with 20+ Free agents, a possible rotation once again at coaching (if we stay in the top 3-5 in defense you don't think someone will hire our defensive coach that has head coach experience?) So next year we will be looking again for a new coach and tweaking the scheme etc, what Im saying is that had we not choked the first 6 weeks we could possible be in contention for the playoffs, but winning now wins us nothing. We get a worse postion in the draft when we are in DIRE need of skilled players at some key areas.

Our Defense is getting OLD FAST and we need to bring all the youngsters in and see where we are at.

I Just don't want us to keep starting SLOW and screwing ourselves out of position and than making a run and just missing out like the last few years.

YES its possible to win our division this year, but HIGHLY unlikely if you look at the schedule.

Flame on..

No flame, I'm with you but I'd rather win some games and know we've got a decent neucleus for next season. Anyway I feel a high draft pick doesn't help us because they cost too much and we'll need lots of cap space to resign most of the 20 FA players.

U know y it is hard for teams like browns and cardinals to get free agents it is because no one wants to go there cuz they suck.

Also i am pretty most of our important free agents are willing to sign with the dolphins.

Remember the stock Market? Buy low and Sell high. If this team can continue then maybe some of our overpaid/older vets will have more trade value.

It's not personal it's business.

What I think will be different this year than about last year is that were not going to change as much of the roster this offseason. I know that there are a lot of people that want a lot of different players, but I dont think we are going to change much this offseason.

The secondary has improved greatly, the offensive line has improved greatly, and pretty much the rest of the team has improved. I think this offseason things are going to stay pretty close to the same to make this unity last until next year. Adding DC is going to be a change but I look for our line to change maybe 1 person, and maybe another LB. Maybe some young DT also.

I feel ya on this one...Its like we are stuck in the movie "Groundhog Day". Changes should have been made sooner to stop the bleeding instead of watching Culpepper get sacked over & over. Everybody will be fine until we do finally lose and then the hands will slap foreheads all over Finheaven.

Wow..... I guess your glass is half empty. You need a shrink.

regardless of your facts

i love when the dolphins win. i cannot just sit and hope they lose so we can geta high draft pick. its obvious we should have started harrington in the beginning of the season. we would have one at least 2 more games. but hey, its great to see how we are developing now. any team in the nfl would kill to have a defense like ours no matter what their age is. its all about a system just like in new england.

If the wins continue, we might have to give Saban the nickname of:
Nick "Slow-starting" Saban. Or maybe Nick "Quick-finishing" Saban.

The defense is looking Great right now.

A bunch of us were mad after the Green Bay loss (most-likely ruined any playoff chances)(even with a winning streak).

Now I just take the games 1 at a time, and appreciate the wins, and the improvements.

"Our Defense is getting OLD FAST"
-- Traylor/Zgonina are gone next year. Taylor and Thomas are the two old guys, and they are still playing at a very high level. Holliday may or may not stick around. Unclear. 3 old guys, and 2 are playing like pro-bowlers... age doesn't concern me at all.

It's really not an annual thing/trend with this team. Ya, we did it last year, but we've always been known as a "fast starting" team and closing seasons very poorly.

Our defense is old, but it's not "GETTING OLD FAST". They're the #1 ranked defense in the league. The Tampa Bay Bucs, now they are a defense that got old fast. But, you bring up a good point, in that we should be weary of that. I don't think we'll see to many fresh faces on our defense. We'll have Roth, Taylor, and Carter at DE's...maybe Bowens if he's resigned. We'll have Thomas, Crowder, and either Spragan or another OLB signed via FA or Draft. I believe we'll relatively see the same DB's. I think we'll resign Yeremiah. We'll have Jason Allen, Will Allen, Travis Daniels, Andre Goodman, and I think Renaldo Hill might be back. The only real change we could see is DT/NT. I think Traylor will retire, and Zgonina will retire or won't make the team. I think we'll keep Wilkinson and we have Evans and Vickerson who are young on the way up. We could possibly sign another veteran there as well.

I always want the Fins to win and NEVER want us to lose. I cant bring myself to hope we lose... but at the same time I feel you bro. I really was looking forward to atleast having a good draft position... especially in this years draft which has alot of talent at the top. Trading down would have been awesome, or getting one of those top 3 players too.

I LOVE winning these past couple of weeks... but hate that we are killing our draft spot.

I understand how you feel but I will not go gentle into that good night. Until we are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, we have to fight the good fight. That's the way miracles have happened in wars across the pages of this world's history: some general, some battallion some where, refused to die and became heros. Could this be the beginning story of the 2006 Dolphins, greatest turn around season in the NFL? I wonder if fans asked themseleves a similiar question in 1972.

That's our Dolphins. Always a tease. Give us a taste of what could've been. The question is, why weren't we like this 7 weeks ago?? We could've been at least 6-3 instead of 3-6. We could've been in the thick of the AFC East and in the playoff hunt. Once again our wins are a case of too little too late. The only chance we have at the playoffs is to win the rest of our games and finish with a 10-6 record. That's a monumental task considering we started with a 1-6 record and play teams like the Colts and Patriots etc.
