Great article on Tannehill

Don't know how it double posted

That is a great read...Tannehill has improved..and his play last year will help with his confident going into this season.

Nice...

”As it turns out, Gase isn't a quarterback whisperer, he's just a good head coach. Gase didn't coach up Tannehill or create play designs that made him more productive than his performances warranted. Instead, he settled a supporting case that had previously acted as an anchor around the neck of its signal caller.”

thats a great read and corroborates what i thought i was seeing these past few years. a very good qb that would be setting
the nfl ablaze if he were on a different team like the seahawks or patriots, or cowboys. fix our line, and give us a B to B+ Defense and this team can be great.

it was a callout, please let it go. We don't allow callouts

So those of us who see a good QB out there are not aqua glasses wearing h o me r s... (or at least, it's not because of the glasses in my case)....good to have that confirmed by an independent source.

wow this is really telling and would not have guessed this - only bodes well for the future (this season)
4. Fine, but what about those sacks? He’s taken 213 in his career, a reflection of terrible pocket awareness.

Reality: Tannehill was sacked 27 times in 2016, but just one of those 27 could have realistically been avoided, leading the league. Of those 26 sacks, 18 were the result of a blocker getting beaten, five were a result of blown coverage and three were because of excellent downfield coverage.

Cian Fahey has always been a big Tannehill fan

Unfortunately, we will still spend and place too much weight on the loss/won column and other typical metrics. As long as he continues to grow in this 2nd year of Gase's offense we should be good. I really expect guys like Tunsil and James to play even better in the 2nd year. If our guards we good last year they too would have been in the second year of this offense. Instead it might be our guards who will be the Achille's heel of the offense.

Let's hope that knee is 100% bc if it is i believe all doubt will be removed about his place in the top of the league. He is a special talent and we are fortunate to have him.

"All a quarterback can control is how well he executes his part of a play. And after countless hours of film study, Fahey, a 26-year-old who has covered the NFL for a better part of a decade, has determined Tannehill does his job better than most — and far better than most believe."

“Timing and placement is easier for him when he pushes the ball to the intermediate and deep routes,” he writes. “One of the best arms in the NFL. ... Throws well from the pocket but becomes more confident and aggressive outside of the pocket. ... Exceptional deep passer. ... Pressure doesn't impact his mechanics.”

There was a lot of things written that are quote-worthy and hopefully, but doubtfully, puts some questions to rest. But the above is what I feel like gets forgotten the most. And the bolded is just because it's damn impressive.
