Great Chris Long Article-

You cannot miss with this guy, period. He won't change with a big payday. He could be the new face of the franchise. Hopefully we move JT before the draft and let him go to a contender, he has outlived his usefulness here. Its time to move on Chris would be a step in the right direction.

I would like to think it is down to him or Jake Long...With Sedrick Ellis and Vernon Gholston ranking behind these two guys...

But what a read...the guy seriously is ready for the pros...Am I wrong to say this because he's "white" but, he has all the tools to be the first overall pick but you always hear ignorant fans say this guy doesnt have the athleticism to compete at the next level...how do you go from comparisons to LT to some pundits who say hell barely get by at the next level...

Nice story, although it seems the media has really fallen in love with this guy so I tend to take all of the accollades with a grain of salt. If we stay with the top pick I'd be happy with either of the Longs.

BTW....the comparison to LT was done by an agent. The comment would hold more weight with me if it was coming from a coach or player from LT's era.

Really nice story on Howie's son...I would be happy with him or Jake Long. I think they will both have excellent careers. Maybe someone will try to trade up with us so we can get extra picks, but if not, we should have a definite starter in place for many years with one of the Longs.

Al Groh called him the second best player he ever coached. Number 1 was LT. He said this during the season, not after the season.

As much as I'm hoping for a trade down due to so many holes.....I really hope this is our man with pick #1. High character, motor kid who can become the face of the franchise. With the draft being deep at the tackle position I would hate for our pick to Jake Long. Not that I don't like Jake but there isn't a Chris Long at pick #32 like there might be a Jake Long at #32. There is a possibility that Miami could be choosing from Jeff Otah (not likely), Branden Albert, Anthony Collins, Ghosder Cherilus or Sam Baker at pick #32 which would solidify one of the tackle spots. I can't say there will be any OLB/DE with Chris Long's character and motor that we could select at pick #32. Feel free to disagree.

I keep going back to Al Groh as being a disciple of BP. Who else would know better which player would fit in our system than him.
