Great Pennington article

I really don't think we would have even one win yet without him. I just want to thank the jets. WOW. I never thought I would say that
 
That article pretty much sums it up. There is NO shame in being a game manager. I like the reference to Trent Dilfer and whether a fan likes it or not qbs with physical limitations but smart ones with a lot of intangibles will forever be compared to him and the Ravens situation in 2000. Having said that Pennington has to play within himself and... he is! I think we got the better end of the deal as Favre may not even be around next year and Penny should still be going strong until Henne is ready.
 
Chad Pennington is a game manager, and thats a great compliment, but Pennington has also won most of our games for us, He has lead this team on some great drives when we need it the most.

I disagree the Wild Cat won in NE. We didn't score the second half of the San Diego game. He played well against Buffalo, but our D was awesome. He had a good drive to end the Denver game, but we would have lost that game if not for the D and the picks they got. Our D is more responsible for our wins. Chad hasn't lost the games, but he is very up and down and it is painful watching a 3rd and 7 with him at QB. I will say with our D, he gives us the best chance to win by managing the game, but we would have won just as many games with Henne at the Helm IMO. Penny has not even come close to winning a game by himself this year. He has played good solid ball and limited the mistakes, but 2 he made cost us 2 games.
 
Without Pennington we wouldnt even be thinking about the playoffs. As soon as we signed him you could see a huge diffrence in our offense. They could actually play. :) GO PENNINGTON!!!!

Henne is a rookie and would be making rookie mistakes. The turnovers would kill us. I mean I hope he performs well but he would have growing pains.

You know this how? How many int's has he thrown in the pre season and against AZ? How is Matt Ryan doing? I am happy we are winning, but you guys are giving Penny way to much credit. He isn't losing games for us is how I see it. He has not carried this team one single game. The D has!

It's all good, it's all opinions any how. I don't claim to be always right. I just claim to have an opinion in what I see and enjoy the discussions!
 
Also, When we first signed him, everyone one of our recievers were dropping a lot of balls in preseason yet once he was starting, they all of a sudden were catching them again! Penny is a miracle worker and should be revered by ALL Dolphin fans from here on out!

Thats why I said I hope he plays well. Who knows we might have gotten lucky and could be very smart with the ball. We can only pray for it. But most QB's have some trouble their rookie years. The point that he isnt loosing the games for us hasnt been the case with the QB position for a long time. Most games we had 3 interceptions. No way to win with that many turnovers.
 
I think you would agree Henne has a poise to him that most rookies don't. He is a cool cat. I say that when I admit I was against selecting him at first, but he has a calmness about him in the pocket that is obvious.
 
I like Penny, he is an awesome leader and our starter, so go Penny and go Phins! I just know what I see and he is not a super hero that some are trying to betray him as.
