I can see alot of people bitching this morning and TBH Im kind of baffled... I think some people's expectations really dont add up to what they post... While the consensus for the season was around 9 wins, with the worst part of the schedule behind us on a 3 game winning streak all against AFC opponents, what exactly are we bitching about, if not that your actual expectations(not the ones you posted) must have been 10+ wins?

Nothing about that win was perfect, but we are far from having the talent to play perfect football, nevermind contending for a SB... The offense didnt look GREAT, but you have to account for the fact the Jets have best best front 4 in football, AND that our only deep threat left the game. Add just those 2 up and it plays right into the Jets defense's hands, no matter where they ranked prior to the game. It allowed them to completely ignore the deep field and stack to the short stuff. The offense still converted 45% of their 3rd downs, and still managed to score 2 TDs.

The defense wasnt perfect either, getting crushed on the run, but they held the Jets to 3-11 3rd down conversions, thats very good. Some are saying Fitz played a bad game and gave it up to the Fins, Fine! But dont turn around and **** on Tannehill because his stats werent through the roof, he converted 3rd downs and DID NOT give the game to the Jets, he allowed the TEAM to win the game... Call it game manager, average, whatever... Because available options are usually below that benchmark. I think alot of people underestimate how hard it is to find a QB that can win regardless of the talent around them, and overestimate the options available to teams looking for even a stop gap QB...

What Im really saying here is after 15+ years plus of HORRIBLE coaching and HORRIBLE QBs and HORRIBLE OLs... I dont see how anyone is in any position to bitch about a 3 game winning streak against Pitts, Buffalo and the ****ing Jets... Im happy as **** this morning and reading the board if depressing as ****...

There seems to be a middle ground between overly-optimistic (chance at the playoffs) and overly-pessimistic (this team has a LOT of holes and plays badly.I'll sum my opinion up in an example. Late in game, Jets score the go-ahead TD. My response . . . "Yup, that's my boys." Sorry, but I've seen this show too many times. BUT, . . . THIS team came back. I was impressed. I'm optimistic, but not "overly." I have the same worries as most here - a poor secondary and an under-performing receiver corps. But that doesn't mean I'm pessimistic. This team is playing at an intensity level fans haven't seen in years. They are eliminating mistakes. They didn't fold after 3 wins or against an AFC-E foe. But, for now, I worry about the SD game. Those guys can put up points. If they can get by the SD game, I think 'play-off' talk becomes more common, and justifiably more common. Yes, good game, and I'm impressed. One game at a time.

Gutsy win that took everyone's effort. Some left more on the field than others (looking at you Drake and Stills :puke:) Not something we pull off in the past. Good teams find a way to win and sometimes that includes the other team finding a way to lose in the process. I'll take it. Mark the win column.

Lot's of work and issues to address, but the streak has been impressive. Kudos to Gase, the staff, and the players for buying in and playing their asses off this past month.

Wins are always good, especially against the Jets.
I'm feeling good today(Penn State won, My son's midget team won their first playoff game) so I am riding a high, and I know that times like these are to be savored because next week could be totally different. Yesterday's game was not pretty, but the Fins did what they had to do, made enough plays and held on and pulled it out. Whenever mediocre talent can pull out a division win, to me that's a good thing. Yes there are concerns, yes the talent evaluation scares me a little, but it wasn't like that win over Cleveland. This was a legit win. And I love seeing the Jets mope off the field. The only thing that pissed me off about the game was the Kenyon Drake block in the back(or was it?) that negated that return for a TD. Ajayi hit 100 yards against the Jets front, Tannehill didn't do anything terrible that cost us, and young guys(Lippett, McClain) got some playing time and are developing. Just have to keep hoping and maybe we can end up 9-7, then who knows.

I think all we can ask for is that the team plays as hard as it can, while the coaches make the best decision possible with the talent available... I think its fair to say the players are doing thier job for the most part relative to their talent level... Take Maxwell for example, he has clear limitations that are obvious to anyone who knows football, but there are ways to put him in situations where those are hidden somewhat... Maxwell is taking **** from everywhere this morning and I dont understand why... Bottom line is Marshall was held to 45 total yards... Nevermind the coulda shoulda, well if it wasnt Fitz he would've got torched... First of all it WAS Fitz, and second, there are a ****load of Fitz type QBs starting in the NFL right now... Its like everyone beleives every other team's defenses are facing Elite QBs while only the Fins deal with ****ty QBs... Highlight watchers assume that what they see on sportscenter at night is what teams consistently do... This season more than any other I remember is filled with sloppy play overall, but that doesnt make its way to the highlights, you have to watch games to get full comprehension of what other teams look like...

Preach Brother! I'm regularly shocked to come here after a W and wonder if I watched the wrong game as you would think we lost...

NBP81 - You are correct, again! There are lots of things that Dolphin fans should be positive about. We have a promising young Head Coach who is getting a taste for winning. We have a competitive O-line which is creating opportunities for a promising young RB. Ndamukong Suh is a monster and is difficult for any team to contain. Kiko Alonso is increasingly looking like a good acquisition and competes hard every game. Team spirit seems high with young drafted players like Jordan Phillips and Kenyon Drake making huge unexpected plays. The Jets had beaten Miami in 4 of the past 5 games and getting a win over them was needed, but half of FH fixates on the mistakes (and there were plenty) rather than appreciating the win and the progress being made. We have a beautiful upgraded stadium that is being filled every game and the canopy is conducive to generating more noise. Things are looking on the up - we have won 3 in a row and are competing hard. This can be the turning point for the season and half of FH can't see it.

Very happy with the win. I just wish that Tannehill would have put the game away after the Phillips interception or the deep pass to Carroo. I was really proud of the Dolphins being able to run out the clock with two first down runs by Ajayi on the final possession. That is evidence that the team is starting to turn the corner.

I don't know how anyone could hate on this team for yesterday's win. Our OL got whipped up front by the best defensive line in football and we won the damn game. That's huge.

That would have NEVER happened under Joe Philbin. Ever.

Not only that, but watching young players being developed and contributing rather than languishing on the bench. That is one of many reasons why I am sold on Gase. Now enough with the WR screen passes!

Hmm..although I'm being hypocritical as I was on Maxwell about his play. Damn, self awareness is hard...

So is it improper for us to call the Eagles and be like...."Yeah this **** is broke and we kept our receipt, we need to return this defective item"
