This was in the Herald today:

I posted it on our board as well, and the fans really appreciate JT: http://extremeskins.com/forums/showthread.php?t=253102

Do any of you guys plan on hitting up Training Camp this week? If so, what days? I'm trying to find people to head out with.

I hope all of the fans that gave him a bum rap for wanting to play for a contender and calling him things like "selfish" or "classless" take a real good look at his body of work for us. I loved JT and it will be sad to see him with another team (like ZT) but this move had to be made and it was the best for both parties. I'm happy we got a 2nd round pick for him, cap relief, and that he is on a team he could help right now. It would have been more sad to see his last few years in the league on a team that is rebuilding with no real plans for him. I wish him luck and for him to have a great season.

man he's got some PR firm working hard for him.

I'll really miss that guy.

Nothing better than watching him get that jump on the outside, blow past the LT, hit the QB as he's releasing, pick up the ball and run it in for 6.

How many times did we get to see him do that???

Pure BS. Just a way for him to suck up and try to look like a good guy to make sure his Hollywood image will be ok. He just wants to sell tickets etc, etc.

I must have missed the past where the Washington Redskins were a "contender"
It wouldn't surpise me at all if the Dolphins actually finish the season with a better record than the Redskins. They will be fortunate to finish 3rd in their division.
Zorn is an unproven coach who has never even been a coordinator and as far as I can see Jason Campbell has a long way to go to be an playoff caliber QB. Every yr there are teams that exceed expectations and teams that are huge disappointments. I think the Redskins will be the latter.
I'm glad JT is now happy, but a sometimes the grass looks greener on the other side of the fence.

Yeah, but too bad he could never come up with one of those game changing plays in a game that really mattered. i.e playoff or when contending for a playoff spot/divison lead

You are absolutely right.
So if Adolf Hitler had put a big "im sorry for killing you" on the front page of a newspaper everyone will be like "oh wat class act, thankyou for the memories" hahaha people are so easily swayed by silly lies

I will miss him, but he is at the very tail end of his career. He will be considered among the greats like Dan Marino in the history of the Miami Dolphins.

I sound like a broken record, but the trade value we got for him was way too much to pass up. A 2nd round pick(likely high in that round) and a 6th round pick for a 34 year old Defensive End that is more focused on Hollywood then the NFL is an absolute steal. He will likely play 2008 and 2009 for the Redskins, but the fall of 2010, look for him on your TV set or at your local cinema, but not on the football field.

He is an all-time great and I can't wait to see him enter the Pro Football Hall of Fame as a Miami Dolphin, not a Washington Redskin.

Eh I appreciate the sentiment with the ad in the newspaper but I still don't like the whole situation. I don't blame him for not liking losing a lot but it still stings me that a guy gets traded to a team that's better just to give him a chance at winning.

I know that's how sports go but it still sucks IMO

a good trade is a good trade.

The Wes Welker trade last year was good. A 2nd round pick for a guy we got undrafted and picked up cause SD cut him. THATS A GOOD TRADE!!

Jason Taylor with 1 year left before he goes to Hollywood. Getting a 2nd rounder for him. THATS A GOOD TRADE!!

Short term pain for long-term gains. Those are good trades.
