Don't know if you have seen this but this was great!! Not sure which was better - the Giants one or the fact that they didn't have to use the Pats one!! I grew up wearing #22 because of Merc - gotta love the guy!!!

Here is that Dolphins commercial, it is one of the best things I have ever seen!

Can't beat this one, it is the one they filmed to show if the Patriots won!

Here is a Mercury Morris interview after the game.

Mercury Morris might be one of my least favorite Dolphins of all-time.

Hopefully that is based on off the field stuff and not what he did on the field. Guy was so dangerous running the ball. After his career he was a mess but during - how could you make that comment?

well he was addicted to cocaine....

"Was" being the key word. I am sure those of you who want to criticize him for that live absolutely perfect lives and have never been given a 2nd chance for any errors you have made. Must be nice to be so perfect. Don't throw your arm out throwing out all those stones.;)

If I never saw Mercury Morris play a single game, he would still be one of my favorite all time Dolphins just for that video! How can you not love a guy who bleeds aqua and orange!

On the field he was always such a whiner, and off the field he's no different. It's not his drug habits that bothered me, but his consistency EVERY year to make stupid comments about the undefeated teams. I'm so sick of him it's not even funny.

How old are you? Did you even see him play? Whiner? He wanted to play!! I would have bugged the coach too if I wasn't playing. Don't forget who the coach was either - it's not like Shula just says okay you can play. He already had 2 backs and yet he gave this kid a chance and he became their go to back. ON THE FIELD he was a great RB. My comments are about his playing. IF you didn't see him you shouldn't comment on them. You should keep your comments to AFTER his playing days. Guy screwed up after his playing days and he paid a big price for it. I love how he sticks up for the Phins!! Gotta love the bleeding of the Dolphins!!

I'm old enough, i have seen him play, i saw him complain that he wasn't getting the ball enough and getting enough playing time behind and sharing with Jim Kiick and Larry Csonka.

Did you see the documentary on Shula on his teams back then? He said Morris kept bugging him about playing time but in practice he kept making so many plays he finally decided to give him a shot and when he did he played so well he couldn't take him out. How can you fault Morris for wanting to play? Good for him - would you rather he sat on the bench and kept quiet? Heck with that. If a guy is good enough and has that kind of confidence then he should be in the coach's ear wanting to play. That's the kind of guy I want on the team because 1 of 2 things are going to happen. He is going to get a shot to prove himself or the coach is going to get rid of him because he ain't going to listen to a bench guy whining.
