I would be pretty happy with any of these guys. It's important that we don't rely on Clay turning into a weapon. That's generally folly with any rookie, especially a 6th rounder being asked to learn multiple positions. As CK's said, Williams is having enough trouble trying to learn one position in Green Bay, and he's the Mackey Award winner. Why should we be expecting more out of Clay?
What does being the Mackey Award winner have to do with anything? That's a college award. Does it make him smarter? Because he won the award should he already have a grasp of NFL offenses? Is that part of the award criteria?
Tim Tebow won the Heisman...should he be an elite QB in this league? What about Troy Smith, Matt Leinart or Jason White? Should all of those award winners be super stars in the NFL?
Referencing that he got an award in college makes no sense to me, this is the NFL.
