Additions

Julius Jones. Julius Jones joins the Packers after three productive seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. A 2nd round pick in 2004, Jones had his highest rushing total in 2006 despite sharing carries in Dallas. Jones will take over as the featured back in Green Bay with Vernand Morency staying on as the 3rd down back.

Anthony Fasano. A 2nd round draft pick in 2006, Anthony Fasano has the potential to become an excellent tight end in the NFL. Used more as a blocker as a rookie, Fasano will have an increased role as a pass catcher in Green Bay.

Antoine Bethea. Antoine Bethea was a great surprise as a rookie, starting all 18 games (including playoffs) that he played in for the Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts. Bethea racked up an impressive 90 tackles on the regular season, and saved his best for the playoffs, intercepting 2 passes. The Packers feel that Bethea will continue to develop into one of the leagues best young safeties.

Marvin Harrison. Marvin Harrisons career speaks for itself. One of the greatest wide receivers of all time, Harrison will form a great receiving duo with Donald Driver in Green Bay.

Philip Rivers. The former 4th overall pick in the draft, Phillip Rivers led the San Diego Chargers to a 14-2 record in his first season as a starting qb. Rivers turned in a great season, throwing for more than 3300 yards and 22 touchdowns, leading to a Pro Bowl berth. At only 25 years old, Rivers will be the Packers starting quarterback for years to come.

Jimmy Williams. Picked in the early second round of the 2006 NFL draft, Jimmy Williams played well in his limited playing time in 2006. Williams will now be counted on to start along Al Harris in the Packers revamped secondary. The Packers see Williams as their number 1 cornerback of the future.

Casey Hampton. Casey Hampton is one of the leagues best defensive ends, and will join a defensive line that will also include Aaron Kampman, Cullen Jenkins, and Ryan Pickett. The Packers look forward to having an improved defense in 2007, anchored by Hampton.

Adam Vinatieri. Perhaps the greatest clutch kicker in NFL history, Adam Vinatieri will have no problem kicking in the Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field.
