I popped on here expecting to see some homerian slights against my beloved Chargers and lo and behold, only find (for the most part) balanced insight and evaluations (slanted toward Miami whenever possible, as it should be here).

So, as on Charger season ticket holder stuck living in LA, who is flying into Miami for a weekend of South Beach fun, and of course, the game, let me offer a toast to a hard fought, injury-free, respectable contest. . .

. . .that we win by at least one point!

PS: any tips on getting to and from the game from the Gansevoort (which I've heard is cool but do not know)?

Wow, and judging by my sig, I haven't been by here in a long time, probably since you walked into our house in '05 and handed us a bitter one.

We're a varied bunch, but the forums are well moderated and the people here are pretty knowledgeable.....Failing that, they are passionate. Nice post. We have AFC East fans from rival teams in here all the time that are regulars, and, while slanted and passionate about thier teams, interact in a useful and positive (generally) way.

Welcome to Finheaven. You don't have to stop by only on our respective game weeks either ;)

For the most part its easy to stay fair, balanced and post without homerism, all you have to do is lose 15 games the year before

Yes, been there, done that. 2001 or was it 2000, I just try to forget.:boohoo:

You must have been looking for the bills or the jets board!!!

Greetings, hope you enjoy your stay.
I wish you and the Chargers the worst of luck this Sunday.

Robbed In San Diego!!! 1994!!

I know it's been 14+ years but I am still pissed about that loss to the Chargers in 1994! First of all we blew a 21-6 lead. secondly the refs blew a crucial call on the Natrone Means fumble, that hit the front sideline endzone pylon which should have been a touchback and given the ball to the Dolphins at the 20.... instead ball spotted at the Dolphins 1 yard line and one play later, touchdown! Natrone Means!! They didn't have replay that year in the league. Big turning point in that game. HORRENDOUS CALL BY THE ZEBRAS!!FREAKIN' HORRENDOUS!! Finally, At halftime when there was nobody better at making halftime adjustments than Don Shula with a dangerous Dan at the helm. The lights mysteriously weren't working. Rumor has it a Mr. Spanos(CHARGERS LATE OWNER) had the lights malfunction. Speculation only speculation.. but totally freakin believable!!Ever since then I have total disdain for the CHARGERS!! Let's hope we rip them a new one!! Let's wear our 1994 throwbacks this weekend!!GO PHINS!!

Seeing the problems you had with the Raiders' pass rush left me wide-eyed. I can only hope your OL duplicates that performance. I think both our pass rush and run defense is a bit better than Oakland's. If we can get pressure on Rivers I like our chances. If not.. not so much.

Those Chargers teams with Fouts, Joiner, Jefferson, Winslow, Chandler, Brooks, Muncie, even John Cappelletti were very fun to watch. Well except on January 2nd 1982 , but even that was a fun game to watch.
