These 2 players boast measurements you cannot ignore. I believe that the trifecta tag Herman in the 2nd round or 3rd round. Herman Johnson would really solidify our Oline at guard.
Carr has decent speed for his height. He would be a nice 5th or 6th round pick up. A Marques Colston type pick.

One of the most physically imposing players in college football ... Tremendous physical specimen who is the biggest player to ever wear the purple and gold ... Returns as the starter at left guard ... Can also play both tackle positions ... Has also lined up in the backfield in short-yardage and goal-line situations ... Has all of the tools necessary, including a huge frame, to dominate at the collegiate level ... Physically overpowers defensive tackles ... Has surprisingly quick feet and good mechanics despite his huge size ... Goes into his senior season with 25 career starts (22 at left guard, three at right guard) ... Has seen action in a total of 37 games in his LSU career.

had 40 times of 4.58 and 4.65 seconds. He had a 31-inch vertical leap and a 9-foot, 6-inch broad jump and times of 4.40 seconds in the short shuttle and 7.41 seconds in the three-cone drill.
 
Greg Carr is about as far away from Colston as you can get. Colston has very soft hands, catches the ball with his hands, is physical and runs great routes. everything Carr is not.

also, at 6'7, Johnson is just not a good fit for guard in the NFL. hes better suited for RT, which is why he lost the weight for his pro day. the NFL was telling him the same thing. Lose weight because your going to have to move outside.
 
If Leonard Davis can play guard and reach the probowl so could Johnson. The fact that he is heavy would make him a outstanding prospect at guard in my opinion. In addition he is versatile and could play either right tackle and guard.

Carr's height cannot be taught and because he faced better competition than either Ramses Harden or Colston in college gives him more upside to me. Carr with a late round pick or even as an UDFA is a win for us imo.

Leonard Davis is the exception to the rule. not to mention its not just being able to play well at that height, its also blocking the passing lanes for the QB.

I was gonna say the same thing, your right. A guard is directly in the path of the QB, while the tackles 90% of the time are out of the picture completely.

BUT

At his pro day he said the Dolphins were one of the 4 teams really interested along with SD, Tampa Bay and Chicago. He says it himself at the end of this video.

Well, remember we will be interested in over 150 players, we won't draft most of them. Due dillegence I believe
 
I've watched Carr for 4yrs. While I wouldn't say he is God-awful, he probably won't make it in the NFL.
