The Tua talk starts around 7:10
First is some Ravens talk, which is interesting too.
I always learn from Greg Cosell, love him.
Hope you guys like this too.
Agree 100%. The Tua I saw all his collegiate career and who I still see, is a guy who is capable of taking over a game , of creating opportunities and who can "throw guys open" as they say by way of his accurate passing. We're just beginning to see what he can do at the pro level, I believe there is much more to come. When I think of a system QB I think of a different echelon of QB's than what Tua is. i.e. someone who can't function when the system doesn't go according to plan. Many examples of those exist.I've never agreed with Cosel with the Tua is a system qb.
Tua has transcendent talent in terms accuracy and processing.
He has a subtle way in helping receivers get open as well. Uses his eyes like a veteran. That's been something I've been very impressed with. This isn't a great group of receivers that Tua is working with so every little advantage helps.I've never agreed with Cosel with the Tua is a system qb.

It's kind of like saying someone is a great "game manager." That always has a negative connotation for fans, but the truth is that's the biggest thing a quarterback can do.Good listen. Cosell is really good. I didn't hear him say Tua was a system QB, I heard him say he has a particular skill set that he's really good at, and that the system needs to play to those strengths, just like just about everyone except Mahomes. To me, a system QB is a limited QB that can have limited success within a certain system, but clearly every QB needs to be in the right system to maximize his strengths and hide his weaknesses. That's why Cosell says, "this is not a negative thing".
