Just saw on the little scroll on ESPN that Tight End,Greg Olsen of Miami, FL is going to enter the draft. With a good combine, I think he will be a good 3rd round prospect.

I am not so high on him. He's solid, but not a 1st rounder. I thought he'd return

He should have gone back for his senior year.

Yeah, that's why I said he would be a good 3rd rounder. He should have returned to his senior year, but he may be someone to look at in the 3rd-4th round.

I really think we should re-evaluate our tight end and wide receiver positions. We need better playmakers, and McMichael's hands and his drops are the worse, he is a momentum killer. He hasn't produced well since his days with AJ Feeley. The body catches pisses me off, and he has the worse hands in the league as a tight end next to Jeremy Stevens IMO.

Greg Olsen has potential to be great.

but i think there are other positions that needed to be fulfilled on our team during this draft other than tight end.

Gregg Olsen has underachieved because of the Canes' underachieving offense. There hasn't been any development of any player since after the National Championship. If we can nab him in the 3rd or fourth, that will be a solid pickup.

Exactly. He is a steal in the 3rd round.:dolphins:

Olsen made a bad decision by coming out. He was ridiculously underutilized in the Coker offense, but with the new regime coming in he could've pushed himself into a surefire first round pick after next season. Right now he is a borderline 2nd-3rd round pick in my opinion.

Only TE who goes 1st round right now is Zak Miller. I doubt anyone other than him would even sniff the first round.
I agree, and IMO Zach is a late first round, to early 2nd round project. Greg Olsen would be great at the 3rd of 4th round.

The bottom line is that McMike has not lived up to his potential. Perhaps he has been hurt and we don't know it. But he has shown a lack of concentration and doesn't extend for the ball. Furthermore, he drops passes like he's being handed a hot potato. I've had enough of him.

He reminds me of our perpetual hope that Rob Konrad would be a great player. Enough ! Maybe another team could be fooled into some package for him. I say move on.

Agreed. I would trade him for a 2nd-3rd pick. Hopefully one is dumb enough to give us a 2nd for him.
