I posted it on the Hurricanes Fire Al Golden message board and I'm posting it on this board. Hire Greg Schiano as our new defensive coordinator ! Hickey is very familiar with him. He has a great defensive mind and the defense would play at a high level for him. He has a aggressive approach and it would be a great change for our defense. He should really go down the road and head coach the Canes but my first choice would be for him to take this defense to the next level.

Hickey being familiar with Schiano is probably not a plus.
 
hickey is familiar with him..... yea that whole tampa era that got the coach and gm sacked (and was about to get hickey fired) went super well for dennis
 
No thanks to Schiano. I don't want a MRSA outbreak in Davie.
 
My favorite Schiano thing was that profile piece on him that was done recently and it turns out that after meals he belts out "PUT IT AWAY, PUT IT AWAY, PUT IT AWAY NOW" (think Red Hot Chili Peppers) to his kids to get them to put their dishes in the dishwasher.

I just find that hilarious.
 
Coyle is dry toast , this defense lost its fire , just thought someone like Schiano could inject some fire into this defense. Mike Singletary is another choice . We have talent on defense , they just lack that spark.

No we don't have talent that is one of the biggest issues. Besides Jones, Grimes and Jenkins you can have the rest of the garbage. Need Dline and Lbers in a bad way. Saying that a good D coordinator could help with the lack of talent we have

Jones is garbage as well. Grimes is the definition of mediocrity.

If by garbage you mean one of the top rated safeties in the league....then yes he is complete garbage. Do we even watch the games here???

He is probably one of the hardest playing guys on our D and is ALWAYS around the ball. He is not garbage.

No thanks on Schiano or Singletary. If all we needed was a coach with fire and nothing else lets just see if Lawrence Taylor wants to be a DC
