if Gase is fired and the browns go in a different direction, would you like Gregg Williams as head coach? I would love to finally have a defensive minded head coach and he has done a remarkable job since he took over hue Jackson.

Not good enough for the Browns but good enough for Miami?

Definitely no. Come on man! We can do better than retreads!

I heard something I like about Greg Williams. One of the Offensive players acted up and cost a 15 yd penalty. Greg told the coordinator "get him the phuque out of there". Sat his butt on the bench. I want all the malcontents to hit the bricks. Tired of it. Either you are all in or out on your rear.

ABSOLUTELY!! gimme a coach who wants his players playing angry, every damn day!

obtw, Marv Levy took his teams to 4 straight SBs as the oldest coach in NFL... Dick Lebeau coached championship defenses even while elected to HOF; Dante Scarnecchia is close to 70 and the Patriots OL is kicking our ass every single year.

Remember young bloods... you’re only get as old as life allows you to.

as DC ablosutly. Gase needs a DC like him. someone who control that side and not have to worry about it. Just like in LA Mcvay having phillips does so much for him. you have to have that type of guy if you are going to call your own plays

Id take him as D.C. all day. He's nowhere near retirement that dude is as die hard as they come

I think the best thing the Browns can do is keep Williams as HC and keep kitchens at OC.

The second best thing they can do is williams at DC, kitchens at OC, and Bruce Arians as HC w/ kitchens as they head coach in wiaiting (likely a couple years)

Williams and baker are perfect for each other

Marv Levy is the only coach I can think of that wasn't a successful HC in the NFL until his 60's. The other guys you mentioned are position coaches or coordinators. Finding success in your 60's as a head coach when you previously had none is not very common.

For my money give me Wade Phillips to run our defense at 66 years old but no way would I want him to be the HC.

We won't but undoubtedly he'd be great to have here.....he'd totally change the softness and non-discipline that has been a problem since Shula (and maybe Jimmy Johnson) left. This team needs a continual kick in the azz until systematic change happens , turns it around and keeps it on track.
