Bob`s on the set from Canton. This guy was my first football hero when I was about 6. Class act all the way!
 
I was wondering whether anyone else had seen this tonight...did anyone else catch the fact that on a couple of occasions when Griese was raving about Warren Moon he commented on how he 'remembers playing against Moon and what a great player he was' and how 'Warren is more like my contemporary' etc. I kind of laughed when he was talking like this because memo to Bob Griese - Warren Moon was playing in the CFL in the midst of his 5 straight CFL championships WHEN YOU RETIRED!!!

I mean, Griese was finished in 1980...Moon didn't come to the NFL until 1984!!...what the heck is he talking about?!?!?! He never played against Moon and he's talking about great games against him? Is it possible Bob, being a broadcaster of football FOR 25 YEARS since his retirement, doesn't realize this?!?!?

Funny! I will go with the too many hits to the head syndrome. A lot of past concussions coming back to haunt Bob, huh. Now, if he starts having flashbashes while in front of a camera or mike I will say that Ricky was giving him something under the table!!!
 
For anyone who didn't see it - Griese said that he believes Daunte is going to "flourish" in Nick Saban's system.
 
Yeah, Griese said he expects a big year out of Daunte but in the same interview he talked about playing against Warren Moon which he never did - so take Griese's prognostications with a grain of salt...
 
Yeah, not sure where Bob was coming from talking about playing against Moon...but what the hell, he`s got the two rings, so he can say whatever he wants imo.

My friend is an audio engineer and has worked in the booth with Griese. He said he was a total ***.
