After three quiet days of free agency following an extraordinarily busy first day, the Dolphins were once again active Tuesday as they agreed to terms with fullback Boomer Grigsby.

Grigsby, who first played linebacker before being converted into a fullback for the Chiefs, is expected to provide a punch on special teams that was missing in Miami last year.

I remember taking a liking to the guy during that HBO show, "Hardknocks: Training Camp with the Kansas City Cheifs."

It was obvious he's a raw talent that loves to hit. He needs work staying controlled and hitting with a purpose rather then just throwing his body at a defender. He also needs work on routes out of the backfield.

I really don't see Grigsby unseating Mauia as the starting fullback and I doubt we carry 2. Probably just a camp body more then anything.

Cant remember where but I did read that he was really lauded for his special teams work. Lord knows we need some definite upgrades in that department. We probably keep 2 fullbacks and use for ST.

He won't do anything more than backup at fullback in all likelihood, but he only has played one season at fullback. He was a tackiling machine in college with 500+ tackles. It's his enthusiasm and attitude to do whatever is needed and his willingness to block and tackle that is SORELY needed!!!! I thought we were stupid letting Sammy Morris go last year, and a couple others in the past few years.

Fantastic signing!!!! This guy will be a much needed addition for our special teams!!! Reminds me of Larry Izzo. The guy loves special teams, and we need somebody to block for Ginn!!!!! This signing will go unnoticed but its a big one!!!!

Yeah, that's how he'd make the team. Just another sign that Parcells is concerned with building this team from the most basic essentials.

In order to have a solid special teams unit, you MUST have someone named Boomer.

awsome hes from about 30min away from me, and played hs football with one of my friends.

Boomer " Boom Boom " Grigsby will be on this team. Parcells is used to carrying to Fullbacks. He did it in Dallas with Oliver Hoyte, who was also a LB converted FB. We need a blocking specialist at ST. It was one of the many reasons why we sucked so bad last year

he also played MLB in college.

I hope we still have that hawaiin FB thats runs through walls yelling "im the juggernaut *****"

We officially have the nuttiest tandem of FBs in the league. This guy is a nut, and well, we all know about Reagan's wall breaking antics

Wonder if we are going to sign Perry too.

Oh, just found the connection. Saxon, our RBs coach, came from KC.

Probably didnt hurt.

Boomer's diary...funny stuff
