Grimes Deal Got Better

i'm not surprised, Dawn is good at what she does......probably the best capoligist in the nfl.....

I don't agree but hey its your opinion. People forget we have so much cap space because our free agents rarely pan out and have been cut early and the number one factor is not drafting guys that we end up resigning,
Our cap would be much tighter if our draft picks had been resigned

What's that got to do with Dawn?

IF Red Dawn were to come on this forum as a guest, there are few who could even talk to her intelligently on cap issues. Most would avoid it, as to not to be embarrassed but, gotta bitch about something. LOL

She is at the top of her profession, and I'm glad to have her.[/QUOTE]

I actually met Dawn Aponte at a conference in Indianapolis a couple weekends ago. Dont be fooled by the media, she is very sharp and articulate. She is highly intelegent and has a very strong personality to stand tall in a "mans" world. I feel much better about her being with the Phins than I was prior to that.

MD20 - you are correct but Hayden Fox will start shooting at you for singing her praises. She doesn't have an appendage between her legs so how can she know anything about football and help our team? Don't you know that she is the secret evil football czar who lusts for more power?
Actually, thank you for acknowledging what many of have suspected - that she is really very talented and we are fortunate to have her.

the topic was about dawn and the job she does with working the numbers...you complain about the talent brought to this team, which dawn aponte is not responsible for

No, but shes partially responsible for the Joey Porter release flub(as big a fan of that as i was, it was a rookie move), the crippling lack of cap space in 2012, participating in the dysfunctional front office environment, and Phillip Wheelers atrocious contract that makes him damn near uncuttable. The one thing people fawn over her about was accomplished largely by her doing nothing. Eventually those contracts were going to come off the books and we would have space, it didnt matter who was in the chair at the time that occurred. Fans apparently love her not for the job shes done, but because she walked into the office for an offseason and did nothing.

Team accountants are kind of like offensive lineman, they are only noticed when they screw up. The fact that shes a household name for fans is not a good thing.

well that's why we have all the cap room as far as the contracts I don't see anything special about her contract structures. Mike Wallace, Dannell ellerbee and Phillip Wheeler not much different than any other team.

my point was we have cap space because of that, I don't see any so called great job she does with the cap numbers, not much different than the rest of the league
