Grimes Is Also to Blame Not Only Philbin

Couldn't keep his feet. He slipped too much. Don't know. Bad day at the office.

You guys do realize Nelson has done this to every corner he has faced so far right? That's why you don't give Rodgers extra chances, and you don't give him extra time. We did both. Im not saying Grimes had a good game. I'm just saying that the Rodgers to nelson connection is probably the best in the NFL right now. Philbin giving extra timeouts, Coyle's awful scheme's, and the inability to get a first down and run the clock at the end are real reasons we lost.

Who gives a Fng **** how he writes...didn't know this was a writing board Get a clue JA

Having a starter that is 5'5" like Grimes always comes back to haunt you. That is why Atlanta got rid of him.
Against bigger, stronger, and taller WR's like Nelson and that emerging cat from Buffalo, he is exposed.
He hasn't done **** this season.
His wife is a blow hard. Your husband sucked today Miko.

I saw him slip and fall at least 4 times on replay. I started thinking is the field wet, but then I was like it hasn't rained. I couldn't figure it out. It always seemed to be on a vital down too.

I still think Grimes is the most overrated player on the team. I've posted that several times dating to prior to the season. Today he held up better than I expected against Nelson. Granted, it was largely due to our pass rush. I don't think the outside rush guys can get enough credit for how much they shook up the Packers today. Green Bay made sure to use three guys on Cameron Wake on that pivotal 4nd and 10 play with a minute remaining. The tight end bumped Wake then the guard and tackle double teamed.

Finnegan was worse than Grimes, as others have posted. Heck, even on the fake spike play if you merely shade the outside you might bait the rookie receiver to cut inside and end the game if he falls for it and you tackle him in bounds.

Grimes is a little guy who can't tackle and who true #1 receivers don't have much trouble taking physical advantage of, despite how sticky Grimes can be. Those were known quantities. It's going to show up again against Brandon Marshall. Somehow we are willing to ignore glaring deficiencies and hand out big contracts to defensive backs like Jones and Grimes. I guess it's desperation to pretend we actually uncovered a great player. Even if he's not, pay him like one.

Agree on the fake spike, game over if you play it right. As to Grimes , I think he is a great tackler, wraps up well.

Grimes and Finnegan are looking at Jeffrey and Marshall on the road. Two aging corners and the young corners haven't developed well enough. The team needs an ass kicking safety as it is, but we are going to need high picks at corner too. This may be a bigger need than linebacker.

I guess, you should as well, since you should capitalize the beginning of a sentence.

****ing spellcheckers in here, have you ever heard of autocorrect? We are all upset, but you feel it is needed to jump on someone's comment?!? But I'm glad you did, because you showed us all how dumb and hypocritical some people can be...

There are some that are happy about a moral victory...I've counted 4 so far.

"I'm a playmaker"

- The great and HOF Reshad Jones. Who also at one point at UGA said he didn't need to improve on anything.

Wheeler, Jones, and Coyle should be renamed the 3 goons.I rather have had Jamar Taylor out there instead of Finnegan. At least Taylor can tackle and has closing speed. Finnegan is a waste of space. Grimes is nearing that as well.

Louis Delmas: 0 impact plays in 5 games.

Also Lamar Miller must think that once he hits 10 yards his job is done. Its almost like a video game. Use the turbo button and smash on it to accelerate through the hole then get tackled. The worst was on the play of the game. He actually had room and cut back space, but his awful vision decided to tell him to give the ball to Samson Satele.

Are we judging just off today's performance?

I'm certainly not. He's been meh all season. Especially tackling.

And by the way, as I said in another thread, here's a fun thought about next week: Chicago has TWO Jordy Nelsons.

More fantasy points for me.

I don't know, since he has been with us I think he has wrapped up well with the receivers after catch and has a good form. Maybe I am wrong and haven't been accustomed well to a good tackling cb on the fins in awhile.
