Not so fast. Belicheck put revis on Reggie Wayne and doubled Ty Hilton. That's a great strategy. You put your shut down corner on the #2 receiver to take him out of the game, then double the #1. As great as grimes is, id much rather take my chances with 2 guys on him and have grimes take sanders out of the game.

Of course they still got Julius Thomas and welker but I'm most worried about demaryius.

Difference is Broncos might not have a #2 WR.....

If Sanders and Julius are both out, that honestly leaves Demeryius Thomas as the only 'scare you' player the Broncos have (apart from Manning).

I would double Demeryius with Grimes and safety help. Leave everyone else 1v1.

Peyton hates playing with unfamiliar targets, hence why he struggled after Julius and Sanders went out and Rams triple teamed Demeryius. He hates knowing that bench players won't understand every audiable and that he doesn't have that telekinesis with them.

Just look at how lost Jacob Tamme (sub-TE) was. Manning tossed him pefect throws and exposed the coverage only to have Tamme run the wrong routes or lose the ball after release.

Same with Sanders, sure Welker might get the game plan, but the guy is beyond washed up.

During the Lions game, there were several plays where we had Delmas on Calvin Johnson at the LOS, with Grimes about 10 yards back covering the over. I trust Coyle will properly defend Demaryius Thomas, and there will be times where Grimes is 1v1 with him.

oh calvin johnson's td delmas bit on an underneath route and left grimes 1 on 1 vs johnson doing deep. it didnt turn out well.

Thats wasnt a play where Delmas was lined up over Johnson at the LOS like I described above. On that play you speak of, Delmas bit on the play action but there was no double team of CJ, and it was Grimes 1v1 from the snap.

I'm sure Sanders will be back on Sunday, the Broncos will make sure of that. After dropping to St. Louis, you want to be full strength against the Dolphins (AFC opponent) playing some of the best ball right now.

In the end our offense is gonna have to score TDs. If we settle for FGs we're gonna be in trouble

I don't know if I would have Grimes shadow one specific player all the time. I would keep them guessing. They have too many weapons to worry about one specifically all of the time IMO. However, if we did pick one I would choose Sanders because I don't think we have anyone else that can cover him because he's so quick.

Demaryius Thomas is an incredible WR but Grimes is in great form against some of the best in the NFL. My inclination would be to give him the challenge. Many don't recognize it but Grimey is one of the best CBs in the NFL. Bring it on, Brent will not be fazed by the challenge and you know Miko Grimes will have him pumped.

right but Grimes cant cover Sanders and Thomas both at the same time , I seen a post a couple of posts back that someone said Grimes on Sanders , and now Grimes on Thomas , imo I just don't think Sanders will be cleared to play , but I have all the faith in the world that Grimes could stay with either one of those guys.

Sanders is only having the year he is having 1) because of all the attention Demaryius receives and 2) he has PM throwing him the ball. DT is the threat you can't ignore and deserves the #1 WR label by a long shot, IMO.

im going to have to disagree with you Thomas dosent need a very fast CB to stay on him , he is big tall and slower , and imo Grimes matches up with Sanders a whole lot better because no one on our DB OR S that can run with Sanders , Sanders will leave all the rest in his dust ,its gonna take Grimes to stay with Sanders speed , I think courtland matches up better with Thomas , if we put Courtland on Sanders (if he plays ) we are screwed because he wont be able to stay with him , yeah we have Taylor that is fast but will get juked out of his shoes with Sanders , maybe next year with Taylor but noway would I put him on Sanders this year

Sanders might have more speed, but that's where his reign over DT ends. Demaryius is better all-around and an elite WR hands down. The best WR (DT) gets the best CB (BG). A CB would not have the responsibility of covering a deep threat down the field all alone without safety help anyways. Also if somehow all of Denver's weapons are healthy, it's more likely we'd play a type of match pattern coverage as opposed to zone which PM would pick apart all day.

IF Grimes dosent stay on Sanders even on the 10 yard slants courtland dosent have that burst of speed and Sanders will run 10 yard and in and it will be there all day that's why Wallace gets all the attention on our team (Speed ) Courtland cant stay with Sanders even on the short route ins If Grimes dosent stay with Sanders (if he plays ) we WILL get beat esp on Offence .

I would put Grimes on Sanders (if he plays) and double Thomas ..... The biggest key is to keep the underneath routes in front of you and play them tight.

Sad, but if Welker plays ... Hit him hard, since it will be cold ...
