DAVIE, Fla. -- It’s a matchup of two great but underrated players.

Miami Dolphins cornerback Brent Grimes and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown have been among the most productive players at their positions this year. Yet, few talk about this pair on a national level.

Part of the issue is playing on mediocre teams. The Dolphins and Steelers have a combined record of 11-13. Another part is neither seeks media attention the way some other top cornerbacks and receivers do.

But that shouldn’t take away from Sunday’s quality matchup of talented players. Grimes has been one of the most consistent corners in the AFC, and Brown is leading the NFL with 85 receptions entering Week 14.

“He’s a great player,” Grimes said of the matchup with Brown. “They try to get him the ball in a variety of ways, whether it be a screen or just get him the ball. Once he gets the ball in his hands, he presents a lot of problems because he is [also] a punt returner. He can make a lot of people miss and break some tackles.”

AB is a great threat, better be all over him with safety help deep

I don't know if sanders is having a down year or what, but for the first time ive ever felt this way, i think Carroll might have a good week. I think thats a good match up for him. Brown will get his but not down field. As long as we can contain ben and tackle hard, we should be able to keep it lowing scoring

Carroll has been excellent this year. He and Jimmy Wilson have taken big steps forward this season. I don't worry about Carroll out there at all.

I'm a huge AB fan. The guy is a special kinda talent...

A little off topic, but a cool story nonetheless...

Antonio is the son of Eddie Brown, an arena football legend who played for the Albany Firebirds. I'm 23 now, so I'd say roughly 17 years ago, Eddie and Antonio were living in an apartment complex, their apartment right above mine. Antonio and I, at 5 years old, used to play on the playground together.

That being said, here's to watching Grimes hold Brown to 0 catches

Our defense is really getting better. Our passrush is awesome! OV coming on is great for us and Wake should be pretty close to 100%by now. Put Jordon in the game at the same time as the other two and that's got to make any QB we face very concerned. The linebacker play vs. the Jets was excellent so maybe that's what we'll see from now on. If the Steelers run game gets stuffed we will pin our ears back and come after Big Ben bigtime, and we'll get to him. We have many cool blitz packages and I want to see all of them this Sunday. Move Jordon around, blitz with Jimmy Wilson, send Misi, Wheeler, Jones and the freakin' kitchen sink. DOMINATE ON DEFENSE!!!!!!!! Get turnovers! The recipe on offense is have success on first down with the run. Stay ahead of the chains, have some long time consuming drives like we had against the Jets and early in the game throw deep to Wallace to force their defense to play honest. We need big-play Clay to beast with over 100 yards recieving and another big game from Hartline and some clutch catches from Matthews to move the chains. When we face those 3rd or 4th and short let's give Gillesee a shot. We've had trouble getting that yard in critical situations. Maybe Gillessee can get it done. Huge test for Tannehill! No picks!! 2 or 3 TD passes!! Use his legs to buy time in the pocket to hit on some really big throws. Play smart as far as penalties and stop blocking in the back so often on punt and kickoff returns. Special teams gave up far too many yards on returns vs. the Jets. Clean that **** up. PLAY 4 QUARTERS!!!! and if we get an early lead stay agressive and keep our foot on the gas. Be ready for some extreme cold and snow. Tannehill never played a game in snow in his whole career so he's got to step up and play his best game yet. Guys, we are playing a meaningful game in December and that's cool as hell but this is a game we must win. I think we'll win this game by about 27-20!!! That will make our next game even more meaningful!! Let's get on a roll and keep it going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMO as long as Grimes is on Brown we wont need safety help over the top , i think that Grimes is just as fast ( if not faster ) but it wouldnt hurt to have a safety blanket back there , IMO we might need that safety blanket more to help out on Sanders , and as for Miller (TE ) we need to cover him with Jordan , but Patterson is back this week and it will help our defence out termendous , I Think we have a real shot at taking this game if we put some pressure on Big Ben , he Tends to hold onto the ball longer than he should ..

Lost in this is that velasco and decastro are out. Last time I looked, the steelers suck when they can't protect Ben. our defense is built for qbs that hold ball too long and are known for stretching plays. The steelers suck at running the ball and their defense is average, slow, and are bad at rushing the qb. This is a team we shouldn't just beat but dominate.

Decastro is out? that official?

i would say wow if that is so. wow.

OV up the gut again with wake/jordan outside. speed package.
