Gronk possibly out for season opener.

He's not gonna play. No way. Last year he was out for the first half the season after they said he might be ready in week 3. That injury was bad. And it was late in the season. I'd be surprised if we see him anytime before week 8

it was and a torn MCL

Didnt he have like 3 wrist surgeries during the offseason? One that didnt respond well.

Ahhh Gronk, the love for steroids. By inflating your muscles so much your ligaments, tendons and joints cant handle all the pressure so they break and tear. Keep up the good work big guy. A least he can spend more time going to clubs naked and posing with no shirt for magazines.

Well he will prob start feeling good this summer- good enough to go clubbing. While clubbing he does something stupid while drunk and reinjures [enter body part here].

I actually want both he and Brady to play. We barely beat em last year while we were both injury riddled, I want to see how we stack up when closer to 100%

If it wasn't for the fact it's the Patriots I'd almost feel sorry for them. Two seasons ago they have the most dynamic TE group in the league; Match-up concerns for anyone who plays them.

Now poof, one's in jail and the other can't stay healthy at all. Talk about a complete about face.

It's unlikely that Gronk will play week one. Last year he took his time coming back from multilple surgeries on the advice of his inner circle, which the Pats were not happy about. After an ACL he is likely to be even more cautious. The Pats know they will win the division as long as they have Brady, which has happened every year since 2002. Therefore, they don't need to rush Gronk back, they need him at full speed for the post season.

But don't kid yourself about this game. The Pats have made it to the AFC Championship game each of the past two years without Gronk. They fortified their weakest link (pass defense) this off season, and will be tougher than ever.

even if he plays I'm not sure he will be anywhere near 100%. I would say it's a good time to get NE but BB has a lot of time to prepare for you guys and they haven't lost a season opener since 2003.
