Gronk

My memory is a bit foggy but Gronk had like 3 of those extra surgeries because of infection? A legitly broken arm seems worse than recovering from surgery to remove infection

Depends on the infection. If bad it can disrupt native tissue and nerve responses.

What Kuechenberg did 40 odd years ago with a broken arm isn't relevant to this game. I'm sure that Kuech was great in his day but Gronk is the elite TE of today and he will be difficult to defend. However, he is still short on match fitness. I too am interested to see how we use Dion Jordan in this game. He hasn't been rushed along, but I hope that he gets a bigger role.
Don't forget that with Grimes, Patterson and Carroll we are stronger at CB than we have been in past clashes with the Patriots and this time there is no Wes Welker to make the routine 3rd down yardage.

Well if the CB is an extra one (nickel) who's been brought in the game to cover Gronkowski or someone else, the offense is going to get an advantage in the run game somewhere.

This is why the league needs to evolve toward a linebacker/saftey hybrid player to cover tight ends IMO. They'd have the size, speed, and agility to cover the tight end, while also having the size not to be just mush in response to the run game like a corner would.

The Fins drafted him with the #3 pick. 6'6", 4.60 40, athletic build, fluid hips, long arms, strong at POA, and vast experience playing both man and zone coverage. If they don't use that kids freakish talents to cover Gronk than something is wrong. I wondered quite a bit why they didn't use him on Graham. Hopefully they were trying to not tip their hand for the division matchup.

I watched the game last week and it looked like Gronk was wearing lead boots. Man he looked slow and out of shape, which makes his stat line deceiving. I think he is one of those players that Brady will target heavily, and as long as we limit the damage he does, especially the big plays we should be fine. I honestly and more worried about the rookie receivers actually learning to catch this week and doing big damage to our DBs then I am about Gronk.

Jordan all day. If Gronk lined up near the line I would have Jorday rush the passer and put a Safety over top of Gronk. Make him have to stay in and block every once in awhile. JOrdan would be covering Gronk all day with a jam at the line every single play that he was on the line.

I'm sure the elite coverage safety/CB jimmy wilson will be found isolated on gronk over and over. And you will know it.

im sure we will save that matchup for any third down, especially 6 and longer.
