Gronkowski, or any other TE for that matter, would block the DE or OLB on the edge during a run play - not the CB assigned to cover him.
 
I'll probably get flamed for this, but I'm fine with Misi and a safety covering him.
 
Misi and S overtop is fine, Jordan will zone cover a bit as he has been. There is no definitive answer in the NFL for these big TEs, it ot just us. We just need our front four in Brady's makeup covered face so he can't make plays.

Well if the CB is an extra one (nickel) who's been brought in the game to cover Gronkowski or someone else, the offense is going to get an advantage in the run game somewhere.

This is why the league needs to evolve toward a linebacker/saftey hybrid player to cover tight ends IMO. They'd have the size, speed, and agility to cover the tight end, while also having the size not to be just mush in response to the run game like a corner would.
 
You're going to have to defend Gronk schematically as opposed to a certain person. Give him different looks...hit him at the line..bracket coverages..etc
 
we've yet to go cover-2 press which NE used on Graham/Saints (0 catches); our backers don't jam/re-route guys to give our rush that xtra .5/1.5 to crack the cup; likely bcuz Wilson is a liability... we need a playmaker at nickel... Taylor's gotta get his sh** goin and get on the field

Did he catch passes with it? Don't know what Bob Keuchenberg has to do with Rob Gronkowski. And you didn't answer the question.

My memory is a bit foggy but Gronk had like 3 of those extra surgeries because of infection? A legitly broken arm seems worse than recovering from surgery to remove infection

If Jones is on Gronk, we are almost certain to die. He couldn't cover my grandma this year.
 
I'm starting Gronk this week against our D....seems like the smart move in fantasy land.
